I'm making my way up to the recording studio of the Gee records building. My group, the Teenagers, and I are going to record a new song, entitled "Good Love." As I walk through the Gee records building, I remember that today is my best friend and group-mate Joe's eighteenth birthday. I got him a watch- I'll have to give it to him at his birthday party tonight. When I walk into the recording studio a short time later, I look over at Jimmy Merchant, another one of my group-mates, and say "Hey, Jimmy! I'm here!" Jimmy, who's standing in the sound booth with some girl, turns around and says "Ah! Hey, Sherman!" "Hey, man. I guess we have to wait for Joe, Billy, and Herman now, huh?" Simply, Jimmy nods his head. Wait, who's that girl?
A few minutes later, I hear a familiar voice say "Hey, Jimmy! We're all here, so let's get to recording!" Quickly, I spin around and see Joe, Billy, and Herman entering the studio. "Hey, hey! Happy birthday to me!" Joe cheerily exclaims as he stands next to a microphone. Laughing, I go and stand next to Joe. Jimmy looks at the girl in the sound booth and says "Wish us luck!" Then, Jimmy walks out into the studio and stands next to me. Finally, Billy takes his place at the lead microphone, and Herman stands next to Jimmy. Then, George Goldner appears in the sound booth and says "Here it goes! "Good Love," take one! Just who might the girl in the sound booth be? She's quite a beautiful girl.
Eight takes later, we finally finish recording "Good Love." I can't believe it took eight fuckin' takes to record it! Then, Jimmy looks toward the sound booth and says "Hey, guys! The girl in the sound booth is my new friend, Alyssa! Give her a warm welcome!" Happily, the other Teenagers and I wave hello to Alyssa. She's pretty cute! Then, Herman says "Hey, guys! Do y'all wanna go to a diner and grab some lunch?" The other Teenagers and I nod. Jimmy looks over at Alyssa, and she nods, too. "Diner it is, then!" Billy exclaims. I look over at Alyssa, and she briefly glances at me, smiling as she does so. Then, she says "I'll ride to the diner with Jimmy! I'll see you guys there!" Smiling, she walks out of the sound booth and over to Jimmy. Everything about Alyssa is perfect. Maybe I can get to know her better while we're at the diner. If not, maybe I'll get to know her at Joe's party.
