It's All You (Part 1)

I wake up, and I smile. Today is October 9, 1958- one month since Alyssa has been here! A few days ago, the Teenagers finally made amends with Billy, and we're all on good terms. Billy decided to put off his solo career, and we've given Kenny a temporary break from the Teenagers and let Billy rejoin the group. At least Kenny is okay with the temporary break. A moment later, Alyssa wakes up, and says "Good morning, love." I nuzzle Alyssa, kiss her forehead, and respond "Good morning, sweetheart." Grinning, Alyssa stands up, saying "I'm gonna get dressed, honey. I am so excited about going to the record store you told me about," and walks out of the room, grabbing a pink shirt and jeans. While she's at the record store, the other Teenagers and I will be making preparations for the "one month of Alyssa being here" party. I stand up, walk downstairs, and go into the kitchen to start fixing breakfast.

It's been over an hour since Alyssa left to go to the record store, and the other Teenagers are at my house, making preparations for Alyssa's surprise party. "I can't believe it's been a month since Alyssa has been here," Billy says as he sets the dishes. Herman responds "Time does fly by fast. However, when you've ordered pizza, time slows down to a crawl." Laughing, Joe says "Damn right it does. When will the damn pizza be here?" Billy grabs a soda and then proceeds to begin reading a magazine. Jimmy says "I wonder what Alyssa will find at the record store, Sherman." At that moment, I hear Alyssa say "Shermie, darling, I'm home!" Speedily, I dash over to the couch, clutching a bouquet of flowers. Slowly, Alyssa opens the door.

After Alyssa closes the door, she places her bags on the ground. She turns to face me, and I say "Happy one month of being with us, babe!" Alyssa runs to me, hugs me, and exclaims "Thanks, Sherman! I love you so much!" Smiling, I kiss Alyssa on the forehead and respond "I love you too, darling. This has been the greatest month of my life. I hope you stick around for many months and years, Alyssa." Alyssa looks at the others, then back at me, and says "I'm so damn glad that I met you and the other Teenagers." "Hey, lovebirds! Get into the kitchen! We're having a big lunch to celebrate the one month anniversary of our favorite girl arriving in New York!" Billy exclaims. I'm so glad that Alyssa is here with us. She makes my life so damn bright.
