Epilogue

Ashton groaned as he woke up. He draped his arm on the other side of the bed but there was no one. His eyes snapped open looking around the room. Noah was no where. He ran into the bathroom but he wasn't there either.

He left. No, maybe he's downstairs. Yeah, that's it. He swiftly put on sweatpants and left the room. He definitely has to be downstairs.

He found the Alpha and beta in the den.

"Hey guys, have you seen Noah?"

"Yeah, he left like a few minutes ago," Cameron said with a frown.

Fucking stupid vampire. It was a goodbye fuck. To hell he was letting him go. He's going to find him and bring him back. Kicking and punching if need be. He was running. Well he wasn't going to let him.

Ashton was out of the front door in a sprint. He jumped up and transformed in mid air. It's the quickest way to find him. Ashton just hoped he wasn't out of the forest yet. It's going to be hard tracking him in dragon form out in the open.

He sighed in relief when he heard the roar of Noah's motorcycle. He flew around the road so he could cut him off ahead.

Noah's bike screeched to a halt when he landed right in the middle of the road.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Noah shouted getting off the bike.

"What is wrong with you?" Ashton countered after transforming back.

"I'm not the one who landed in the middle of the road and almost got an innocent rider killed," he pointed at his chest.

"Well, I'm not the one running away from my feelings."

There was silence after Ashton's words. They both knew he was right.

"I'm not running. I just have things to do," Noah said looking away.

"Then why didn't you wait till I was awake and told me that, instead of sneaking out," Ashton knew he was lying and it was making him angry.

"Okay! Okay, I ran away. I just didn't know how to have that conversation with you," he sighed but still didn't meet his eyes.

"What conversation?" Ashton asked moving closer to the vampire making sure he was invading his personal space.

"I...I...," Noah tried to say but nothing came out. But Ashton wasn't done yet. They were not leaving this road until he confessed.

"Tell me Noah," he lifted the vampire's chin so that he was staring up at him. Noah nervously licked his lips and met his gaze. They stared into each others eyes and Ashton was drowning in the blue abyss of Noah's eyes. Ashton couldn't help himself, he leaned down capturing Noah's lips with his. This time wasn't as rough and hard like last time. It was sweet and slow and Ashton was sure his heart could beat out of his chest.

"I love you," Noah said as soon as they broke apart. And Ashton thought his heart stopped beating for a moment. It's not what he'd expected to hear. Something close, but now that he'd said it. He was dumbfounded.

He felt Noah try to pull away wrenching him out of his thoughts. And from his facial expression he knew he'd taken his silence the wrong way.

"Hey, stop that," he said pulling him closer.

"No. Let me go."

"I love you too."

The struggle stopped for a few seconds before he started straggling harder. "You don't mean it. You just said it cause I did."

Ashton groaned. "You like making things harder for me, don't you?"

He lightly pecked his lips and leaned back studying the vampire's face.

"I love you. I'm not playing with you. I was going to tell you first but you beat me to the punch."

Ashton watched as Noah's whole face turned red as he blushed. He couldn't stop himself from chuckling.

"Okay."

"Okay then, let's get back," he said before leaning down for another kiss.

"Oh, how sweet," they jumped apart and turned to the intruder, "now that I have your attention. Black dragon, I've been looking for you."

Ashton recognized the man. He stood upright before bowing his head lightly.

"How can I be of help Master?"
