Chapter Fifteen.

Noah knew he looked ridiculous but no one had the right to judge him. It's not his fault that dangerous people try to kill him whenever they have a chance. Okay, maybe it is.

"You can't stay in one place without getting into trouble?" Ashton commented with a sigh. Noah glared at him.

"It wasn't my fault. I was walking around looking for you when some demon attacked me. Out of nowhere," he said.

"Uhuh, and where is this demon?" he asked unconvinced.

"I don't care whether you believe me or not. Now are you ready to leave or not. I'm tired of this place," he said with a huff.

"Just a moment Mr. Black," he turned to the other man beside Ashton. He hadn't even noticed him before, he's slacking. If it had been an enemy he would have been dead.

"Yes?"

"Could I have a word with you all in my office. It won't take long." he said his gaze moving from him to Ashton. Noah shrugged and motioned for him to lead the way. He followed behind Ashton as they walked through the hallways. He could feel the stares on him. He didn't think he was this popular.

"Okay, what's this all about?" Noah asked as soon as he was seated.

"We're just waiting for the rest before we begin." The man said.

Before he could ask anymore, the door opened. The two detectives from before came in, together with the two werewolves. The Alpha and his beta.

"Okay. Now that you're all here, I'm Angus McKinley, director of the Underworld Watch," he paused looking around.

"And..." Lukas prompted.

"I asked you all here because of the rising master vampire. Ivan has been a pain to me for some time now and I would like to kill him. I want all of you to help me."

"I was going to do it anyway, so..." Noah said with a shrug.

"It was our case to begin with," Cyril said and Keith nodded in agreement.

"We're in," the werewolves said.

Everyone in the room turned to Ashton who was the only one who hadn't spoken.

"What? I would love to help, but who will take care of Cammy while I'm away. I don't think I can leave her at our house again. Even with a thousand guards," he said pulling the child closer to his chest. Cammy squirmed so she could play her game easier.

"That's no problem. She can stay with me. I'll keep her safe," the director said.

"Cammy doesn't like most people. I was just glad she let Noah hold her," he said.

"I have a way with kids. Just watch," the man turned his attention to the little girl on Ashton's lap. "Hey Cammy, I want to show you something."  He pulled a small bag from under the desk as Cammy looked up from the game. "Do you want to see a trick?" the kid nodded shyly. "Okay." He opened the bag turned it upside down. Showing Cammy there was nothing inside. He placed it upright and put his hand inside, moving it around as if searching for something. "Aha!" he pulled out a large white teddy bear. Cammy's eyes lit up when she saw the stuffed animal. She clapped her hands giggling, before holding them out.

"Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!"

"Come and get it."

Cammy was off Ashton's lap and to the other side of the desk in seconds. She grabbed the teddy, hugging it to her chest with a big smile. She looked up at the man, "thank you Mr." she ran back to Ashton. "Uncle, see. I have a bear."

"So cool," he answered making her smile widen.

"Okay sweety, why don't you go play in the kids corner. Grown ups have to discuss business," Angus said and waved his hand at the far corner of the room. The section was filled with toys of all kinds in seconds. Cammy didn't need more probing as she ran to play.

"I guess I'm in," Ashton sighed.

"So what's the plan?" Cameron asked.

"Black, is Ivan almost awake?"

"Yeah, we have at least two days. So we have enough time to plan,"

Give or take. He wasn't sure. These things weren't that accurate.

"Okay so this is what we're going to do..."

He just hoped this shit worked. He hated being bound to some asshole.
