16- Dinner Date

"Let me fix your hair again,"

"Omma, it's alright." I say, and felt sorry for my mom who was stressing over me.

"You look so beautiful Sumin-ah," My mom whispered, and hugged me.

"Omma, it's just my first date. It's not like I'm getting married-"

"GETTING MARRIED?!"

"Dad! Don't stress out-"

"THE STRESS. THE STRESS!" He yelled, and I sighed.

Soon after that moment, I heard Jin's knocking on the front door, and I heard my mom run to get the door. After greeting Jin sweetly, my dad also came and greeted Jin.

"Take care of my daughter, alright?"

"Thank you Mr.Baek for letting her go with me. And I promise I will take good care of her." He says, and I walked towards the scene.

"Hi Jin," I greeted him a little shyly.

"Hi Sumin," He says. "You look beautiful."

"Omo," Both of my parents say. "Alright Sumin, you have to be back to the house before 11:00."

"I'll bring her back on time," Jin says, and my parents approved.

After saying goodbye to them, off Jin and I went.

"What restaurant are you taking me?" I asked him.

"Somewhere that I know you'll like." He says, and I frowned.

"Somewhere that you'll know I like? You know what's my favorite food?"

"I asked your mom this morning, you know." He says. "You like meats, all kinds of meats and-"

"When was that?" I say, confused.

"I called your house number and asked her. You were probably asleep or something. I just wanted to make sure that you weren't allergic to any types of food, and along the conversation, I also learned your favorite foods, from your mom."

"That's... kind of you Jin." I say.

"Anything for you," He replied.

With me holding onto his arm, we walked to wherever he was taking me, and it wasn't long when I heard the buzzling shuffles of people's footsteps, and I figured we were somewhere in town.

"We're here," Jin says, opening the door, and let me walk in first, before he caught up and let me hold onto his arm again.

After speaking to a waiter, I learned that he had made a reservation, and walked me though and towards the back, were it was more quiet and private for the both of us.

"You really planned this out wholey," I say, and he chuckled.

"Of course I had too. I did some research you know," He says, and I smiled.

After the waiter came and placed the menu's on the table, I bit my lip since I knew there was going to be some trouble reading off of it.

"Um, Jin..."

"Don't worry, you can read it." He says.

I frowned. "But Jin..."

I picked up the menu anyways, and began to feel around the plastic covering, when I felt some small bumps, and I realized it spelled out what they had on the menu.
