KIM SEOKJIN'S P.O.V

"Even if you did... it would already be too late. Jin... my stages of blindness is worsening. My time to perform the surgery is limited, and without the money for it, I don't think I'll be able to see forever."

I stopped walking, and stuck my hands into my front pockets and sighed.

The sadness hung over me the more I thought about her situation, and that made me want to do something now to help her out, but I couldn't figure anything out.

I began to walk again, frowning at the ground as I walked, trying to come up with some ideas, but it was no use, and by the time I tried to come up with something, I was already back home.

I closed the door behind me and locked it when I got inside my house, and removed my sneakers before I slipped into my house slippers, and walked quietly, since I'd came home late.

I started to climb up the stairs, when I felt a feeling that told me that I wasn't alone.

"Seokjin..." My mother called me sternly, and I looked up and saw her standing at the top of the stairs, wearing a bathrobe and was staring down at me, wearing a tired expression.

"Where have you been again?"

"I was just at the park." I answered her, and walked up the stairs, and tried to avoid her when she grabbed my shoulders, forcing me to turn to her.

"Seokjin-ah... look at me," She says, and I looked at her in the eyes, and saw that she was worried. "You don't look well... tell me what happened when you were out."

"Omma, don't worry about me. I'm going to bed right now," I say, turning my head away from her.

"You haven't eaten dinner yet," She said.

"I'm not hungry," I say, and kept walking towards my bedroom.

"Seokjin-ah, tell me what's wrong. I can tell something has happened." She says, and I stopped.

I started to turn around and face her again, not knowing how to begin with as my emotions got ahead of me.

"Omma..." I just called out to her, and she came and hugged me, stroking my head as I placed my head on her shoulder. "Omma... I don't know what to do."

"Shh, shh... don't cry my poor baby, don't cry..." She comforted me, and took me by the hand, and led me towards the kitchen, where she made me sit down as she got me the leftovers from dinner, and sat down with me as I was eating.

"Tell me what happened,"

I sniffed, and began. "Omma... I'm sorry for hiding it for a long time when I should've told you in the very beginning... I have a girlfriend."

She rubbed my back. "And she broke up with you tonight?"

"Aniyo... that's not what happened. You know her, omma. She's the daughter of the lady who's been giving us the soup lately," I say, and she nodded in understanding.

"Ah, is that so?" She says. "Then I know her mother then,"

"You've met her mother?" I asked her, and she nodded.

"She's a very humble and kind lady. But it's very unfortunately for her and her family to suffer though what had happened last summer that claimed her eldest daughter's life, and her youngest, her eyes."

"So you know her youngest daughter, Sumin, then." I say, and she turned to me.

"Is she your girlfriend?"

"Yeh." I answered her, and she turned away from me as she nodded. I felt a little concerned, and asked her about it. "Omma, how are you feeling about that?"

"I feel alright, there's not a problem about that, to me anyways." She says with a shrug. "It's just what your father might feel about it, is what scares me."

There was some silence, and I shook away the thought of my father.

"Well, it was until tonight when she finally told me why she couldn't perform the eye surgery. The first thing is, her family doesn't have the money for it." I say, and sighed.

"And you're feeling anxious about that?" She asked me, and I nodded.

"It's just that, her time is limited and she might go completely blind soon if she doesn't have the money-"

"I'll find a way to help out," My mother says. "But don't tell your father about anything."

"Omma... are you sure?" I asked her in shock.

"Of course I'm completely sure... we can make a charity festival to help raise money to help out Mrs.Baek's daughter," She suggested, and that made me get an idea.

"Omma, that's it! We can help make a fundraiser for her!" I say excitedly, and leaned over and kissed her cheek. "Omma, kamsahamnida! Saranghaeyo,"

"Omo, are you starting to feel better now?" She says, but I was too busy placing the boys in a group chat, as I started to text them my ideas.

"Much better," I say, and smiled at her.

Thanks to my mother, I finally had a great idea on how I could help out Sumin. Now, I just need help on how to map out the plans of making the charity campaign.
