Two days later, and it was finally Friday. Though I wasn't just excited because of that. Mrs. Smith had put up the audition list. I rushed to the door at the end of the day, Blu following me.
He was confused, but I didn't stop to tell him anything. The paper was taped onto the door and I skimmed it, stopping soon enough. I squealed slightly and hugged Blu who chuckled. He must've read the paper since he seemed to now understand.
"Can I hear you sing yet?" He asked.
"Can I know your middle name yet?" I mocked him.
Blu smiled lightly. "You know, maybe I can wait," he said.
I nodded and smiled politely, unwrapping my arms from around him.
"You wanna hang out?" He asked, doing the same with his arms.
"Sure. Where are we all gonna hang out?" I questioned.
"We all?"
I looked at him, confused. "Aren't you inviting Taylor?"
"Uh, no. Why would you think that?"
I looked down, embarrassed and shrugged. "I thought you two were a thing now."
"No, no. I don't like her like that," Blu reassured me. "And I was thinking we could hang out at my place."
"Sounds good," I nodded. "I'll follow you in my car."
We made our way out the door, and got into our own cars. I hurriedly texted my mom, telling her I wouldn't be coming home. Blu drove out the school gates, and I followed quickly behind.
Once we got to his house, I slipped out of my car after parking it. His house big, but seemed simple. He led me inside and it was beautiful. There were baby pictures on the wall and I smiled.
"Are you an only child?" I asked him.
Blu smiled and nodded, standing behind me to look at the same picture as me.
We were oddly close, and I smiled to myself. Maybe I should tell him that I'm gay. Not now, though. I just wanted to spend time with him.
"What do you want to do?" I questioned.
"Video games?"
"Typical," I joked, rolling my eyes.
"Shut up and let's go," Blu said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me to his room.
My wrist tingled where he was holding my arm delicately. I grinned, and let him lead me.
After a couple of hours of video games, Blu decided to order pizza. Again, how typical. Though I wasn't complaining.
I smiled as he sat at the table and started chowing on the pizza. I sighed a little. "Can I ask a question?"
"You just did," he chuckled.
"I'm being serious," I told him.
Blu frowned. "Are you okay?" He asked.
"I'm fine. I just, uh, why are you friends with me?"
He looked confused and I mentally groaned. "Leo, what do you mean?"
"Um, n-nothing. Let's just forget about it," I told him, biting into my pizza.
"No, we're not just going to forget about it. Leo, I care about you, believe it or not. If you haven't noticed, I'm very talkative and friendly which is why I talked to you in the first place. And honestly, I'm glad I did. You're different from everybody I've met," Blu stopped to take a breath. "I'm not like the others, Leo. You have to believe me when I say that I care about you."
