"We're actually doing this?" Blu questioned.
"We're going to have to sooner or later," I responded. "Don't worry. My parents like you."
Blu and I were currently waiting for my parents to get home. After they caught up with some friends, they had stopped at a hotel because it was too late. Right now it was 11:08 in the morning. They'd be here any minute now.
I'm pretty sure my parents would mind I'm dating a guy. They never said anything bad when gay marriage became legal on June 26, 2015. They actually seemed relaxed.
I heard a car pull up the driveway, and glanced at Blu. He looked scared. I smiled softly, and placed a hand on his thigh. We were sitting at the dining table that happened to be in front of the door.
"It'll be okay," I told him.
Blu nodded.
Soon enough, the doors being opened by my mom and dad. My dad noticed us, and raised an eyebrow.
"Were you guys waiting for us? He asked.
I stood up, and side softly. "We have something to tell you both."
"You two didn't get into serious trouble, did you? You know, with the police?" He questioned.
"I wouldn't care if they did. At least they'd be gone," my mom said.
We all stared at her blankly.
"I'm just kidding. Jeez, can't you guys take a joke," she chuckled. She kissed me on the cheek, and smiled brightly at Blu.
"Well..." I stated. "I'm gay... And Blu and I are dating."
My parents stared at the two of us, and started snickering. I gave them a confused look. I looked at Blu who mirrored my expression.
"Honey, we know," my mom told us.
"Y-you know?" I stuttered.
"Yes, it's not that hard to tell," she said. "And we're completely fine with it."
Both Blu and I breathed out in relief.
"Now we're gonna head to our room," my mom informed, and they left.
"Now all we have to do is tell your parents," I said.
Blu hesitated before saying, "I'm scared."
I sighed. This was the first time I've ever seen him so... weak. "Let's go to my room." I lead him to our destination, and he laid on my bed. I shut the door, and laid next to him.
"Why are you so scared?" I asked, looking into his eyes. Even though I couldn't see colors, his eyes were still the most beautiful thing in this world. Aside from Blu himself, of course.
"My parents always expected the best out of me," Blu sighed.
"Do you think being gay is wrong?" I whispered.
Blu's eyes filled with worry, and he put a hand on my cheek. "Of course not, baby," he said. "I'm so glad we're together. You keep doubting yourself, Leo, and I don't like it."
"I'm sorry," I mumbled, putting my hand on top of his.
"It's just... my dad. He's kind of homophobic."
My heart broke slightly. "We don't have to tell them."
"No, I want to. I want to marry you one day, and have kids. Be a happy family, you know?" He questioned.
"You're so cheesy," I chuckled.
"Really? I just spilled my heart out to you, and that's what you say?"
