As I walked into school the next day, all eyes seemed to be on me. I was confused, but acted like I didn't notice. I hurriedly went to my locker, desperate to be alone. No one was by my locker; thank god. When I got my supplies out, I shut the door and shrieked when I saw someone behind me. I didn't recognize the person.

"Is it true?" She asked.

I gave her a confused look. "What?"

"Oh, you don't know?" She questioned. Now she was the one looking all confused. "There's a rumor spreading around about you."

I paled instantly. "What is it?" I demanded.

"People are saying that you're gay," she informed.

Well my day escalated oddly fast. I took a deep breath. The only person who knew was Blu and, well, Emmett. Emmett was also closeted, so I doubt he would do something like that. There was only one person who could have done it. I thought Blu was different. "Who started it?"

"I don't know. I've asked, but they won't tell me. They're hiding it."

'Of fucking course,' I thought.

"If people are giving you a hard time, you can hang with me at lunch or something," she said.

I nodded. There was no way I was sitting with Blu today. "Okay, thanks," I smiled politely, glad that she didn't mind that I was gay. "What's your name?"

"Ava," she told me.

"I'm--" she cut me off before I could say anything.

"I know who you are," she chuckled and I just nodded, embarrassed.

Once Ava left, I groaned, resting my forehead against the locker. I banged my head on it which I instantly regretted.

The only thing I was semi-happy about was choir, as always. It was the match off today. I was as excited as I was nervous, and I was very nervous. Luckily, I hadn't seen him all day though I knew he was here. His car was parked in the same place as it was everyday.

I sat in my assigned seat, waiting for everyone to arrive. Once they did, Mrs. Smith announced to everyone that there was going to be a match off between me and Katherine.

"I'm planning to use this song as the closing song. Just a tip," she said. "Which one of you first?"

Katherine smiled proudly and stood up. "I will," she said, gracefully walking to the front.

If I said she was bad, that would definitely be a lie. She was good, which I hated. Though the song was different. She put some lady gaga in it. It wasn't always a bad thing, but it's the closing song. The closing song is supposed to be soft, in most cases

After she was done, I stood. I just decided to go with a classic, maybe add some surprises here and there. Like always, I took a deep breath before singing. It seemed to calm my nerves and helped me sing for a longer period of time.

"'So this is Xmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Xmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Xmas (war is over)
For weak and for strong (if you want it)
For rich and the poor ones (war is over)
The world is so wrong (if you want it)
And so happy Xmas (war is over)
For black and for white (if you want it)
For yellow and red ones (war is over)
Let's stop all the fight (now)
