The car ride back from the mechanic garage was silent. On the way there the discussions were loud and focus mainly on what to do and what to grab. Glenn and Dad spoke about which oil should be grabbed and how to make sure it was secure in the oil filter. T-dog and Carol came along. They held small chatter throughout.

I, on the other hand, kept to myself. I was pissed with Daryl, and I didn't want to explode on everyone. He called me a dumb bitch. He doesn't want me to go anywhere without him, I understand that completely... Yet, he needs to understand that if we leave Chase, he won't trust us.

"Carly, is everything okay back there?" I nodded my head to Dad as he questioned my small and abnormal behaviour.

I stared out the window, watching the trees zoom by as we sped down the road. In my head, I know I have to forgive Daryl. But I don't think I can bring myself to do so just yet. I was angry at him.

As the car slowed down, I knew we were almost at the others. I braced myself for what was expected. I knew everyone knows what went down and I was silently thanking them for my bringing it up. After all, it was between Daryl and I.

The car stopped just meters away from the low on oil truck and we all got out in a hurry. Dad filled the oil tank and started up the car. We left it running for a bit to let the car get use to the oil. I looked around and noticed Daryl wasn't around.

I walked over to the truck to see him biting his nails. Chase was awake and I am guessing by the look on Daryl's face was playing twenty questions.

"Why are you upset?" Chase asked. His voice so soft get so loud that I can hear it through the window.

"I'm not." Daryl answered rudely. I shook my head at him, although he wasn't able to see me yet.

"Yes." Chase argued.

"I made a mistake." Daryl admits. My jaw drops slightly as I watch the scene unfold.

Chase wrappers his small arms around Daryl neck and brings him close. Daryl sinks his head into his shoulder and I can see him shaking. He's holding it all back, and I know it isn't good.

"What did you do?" Chase asks.

"I hurt the person I love." Daryl answered.

"If you love her, why did you hurt her?" Chase questions, obviously confused.

"Sometimes people say and do things they don't mean." Daryl says.

Chase nods his head. "I think you should say sorry."

Daryl nods his head before I open the door.

"Oil is changed, we are just about ready to go." I said as I hopped into the truck.

"Daryl has something to say!" Chase yells.

I look at Daryl with an eyebrow risen awaiting for his statement. Yet, it's mumbled.

"What?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you and you had every right to get mad at me." Daryl says.

I forgave him there of course. I love him and he loves me. Life right now is way to short to hold grudges anyways.

"I love you." I told him.

"I love you." He told me and be brought his lips to mine for a quick peck.

"Ewww!!!" Chase yells through the car. I laugh slight as I look at him. He is so cute and charming.

"So so good?" I asked Daryl who nodded his head.

With the quick exchange in directions with everyone, we were back on our way to my old home. This time, we will arrive there, just before nightfall.
