The way his puffy eyes widened when I said that I was pregnant was nerve racking. I wasn't sure whether this was a sign of happiness or not.

"Pregnant?" He held a ghost smile.

I nodded my head, tears filling my eyes and a smile broken onto his face. As a smile came to mine I wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed my lips to his. His fingers moved to my stomach, slowly rubbing it through my shirt. He removed his lips, looking down.

"That's our baby." His voice so small, the groggy sound from his small breakdown made his voice crack but he was smiling.

"Our baby." I confirmed. "Mine and yours."

We sat there, smiling, kissing, holding one another until someone came to check up on us. Turning around, I saw Maggie.

"I'm taking it that he is happy." I smiled and let out a small laugh.

"Yeah." He said, his voice making me look at him. "I'm happy." He said as he pressed his lips against mine.

I could hear Maggie laugh as she walked away. But I was too busy.

I don't know how long Daryl and I were on the side of the house, but when we finally stopped, the sun was perpendicular to where it was when we started, and Daryl's back was pressed against the side of the house. My body flush against his, my hands gripped his neck and hair. His hands pressed to my back, and thighs. His face was level with my neck, and the way his lips left marks against my skin was pleasing.

"Dinner is ready!" I heard Carol shout from the back door.

I stayed where I was. I rested my head against Daryl's chest, our chests rising and falling slowly.

"I'm sorry." I whispered to him. My eyes were closed, and my ear was pressed against his chest. The beating of his heart making me happy.

"I know. Me too." He said as he pressed a kiss to my head.

He tapped my thigh, singling me to get up. Once I was up, Daryl stood up as well and led us inside to dinner. When we stepped through the door, everyone gave us a smile. There was no more tension between Daryl and I. There was no more tension between the group and I. It was all normal again.

I had a little more to eat then I normal would, now that I am eating for two, but I wasn't ready to announce the pregnancy to everyone right now. I didn't want them to give me their meals, because it was important for them to keep their healths up too.

I remember when people found out that Lori was pregnant. They gave a lot of their food to her, and in a way I understood, but I can't have them stave because of me. In a way, it wasn't fair to the baby, but it also wasn't fair to them. However, I made my self some food after.

I made my way upstairs to Daryl, ready for bed. He was laying on his back, and his arm covering his eyes. I heard his deep breaths telling me he is asleep. Slowly I crawled into bed, and I kiss his cheek before nuzzling my face into his neck and falling asleep.

I know the chapter is short. But I promise, the next one will be longer.
