It was in the afternoon when Daryl and I decided to actually leave our room. However, that didn't stop us from having our hands all over each other. When we sat at the table for lunch, Daryl's hand rubbed up and down my leg. When we were finished, Daryl stood behind me as I did the dishes. My back flush against his chest, his hands wrapped around my torso. When I was done, I turned around and he pressed his lips to mine. My hands wrapping in his hair.
"Hey Daryl," we broke apart. "Do you mind chopping more wood, we seem to be low," Dad asked him. Daryl nodded his head. He turned, and quickly pecked my lips twice before going outside.
Dad looked at me as I held a huge goofy smile on my lips. "You two seem to be on better terms." I nodded my head. "Good." Dad smiled.
The thought of him as a grandfather really sparked my interest. He's good with Judith, and I can just imagine how he was with Carl.
He will be good with a grandchild... his grandchild.
I smiled at the thought, and as he walked away I could only imagine how happy he'd be when Daryl and I tell him.
I walked outside to see Daryl chopping the wood, the pieces splitting as the axe chops down. The muscles in Daryl's arms and back are flexing. It was a glorious sight.
I walked to Glenn, who was sitting near the fence, on watch. "See anything?"
He jumped, his gun in his lap, knife at the ready. "It's just me." I said, hands in the air.
"Sorry. You startled me." Glenn said.
"I can see that. You should always keep an eye on your surroundings." I told him. I crossed my arms, and looked past the fence.
"You want to sit? You shouldn't stand so much." Glenn asked, his voice shaky.
"I'm assuming Maggie told you." I said, side glancing at him.
"Yeah... she did." I shook my head.
"No, I'm okay. I don't feel like sitting." I told him. "Thank you though."
"When are you going to tell everyone else?" Glenn asked, his hands are intertwined together and his elbows are on his knees.
I squinted my eyes, looking around a little, my palms against my waist, my fingers brushing against my stomach.
"Daryl and I haven't really talked about it yet. We are still trying to keep it on the down low."
"Reasonable."
"Within the next week or two we will probably come out with it, I'm not going to stay small for long." I chuckled.
Glenn smiled, his eyes on my stomach.
"You know, it's not going to grow as your watching it." I commented.
"Yes, I know. I'm just thinking, what it would be like if Maggie and I were going to be expecting." Glenn admitted.
"Do you want to start a family?" I asked, eyebrow raised.
"Well, yeah. I love her, I'm in love with her. I would love to have mini badasses running around."
"That's so cute, Glenn!" I squealed a little, a smile on my face. "Just remember the possibilities that must be taken into consideration."
