Daryl shook me awake this morning. The pregnancy making me more tired than I thought it would. I awoke to see that Daryl had already packed for us and he had gathered some clothes for me to wear. Getting out of bed, I pecked Daryl's lips before pulling my t-shirt over my head, unclamping my bra, and replacing it with sports bra and the tank top Daryl picked. Bringing down my shorts and panties, I replaced them with the clean pairs.
I sat on the bed, and put on some socks and my running shoes. Tying the laces, I looked up at Daryl.
"Are the others awake?" Daryl nodded his head. I stood up and picked up my weapons that were laying on the floor just next to the closet. I looked back at Daryl to see that he was picking up his crossbow. I stood up straight, and I felt the burn in my throat.
Daryl, noticing my sudden discomfort, was at my side is seconds, rubbing my back and asking what was wrong. Just as the bile rose in my throat more, I bolted for the door, running down the hall towards the bathroom, Daryl a couple of steps behind me. As soon as I was inside, the bile was in my mouth and I quickly threw it up into the toilet.
My throat burned as more vomit was rising, making me cough. My hair was pulled up into a makeshift ponytail, and my back was being rubbed. As I vomited again, I felt my stomach contract, drying heaving. In the old world, this probably would've been vomit full of my dinner the night prior. In the new world, it's probably just my stomach wanting to throw up more, but has nothing left.
Once I was done, I sat back as I flushed the toilet. My throat was still burning, and my head hurt a bit. I laid there for a bit, my head in my hands, knees tucked in, leaning back against the wall, and sideways against Daryl. His left hand had let go of my hair, and was now rubbing my legs, as his right hand held me against him.
"Everything okay in here?" I jumped, not expecting to hear Maggie's voice. I looked over at the door, seeing her and Glenn with worrisome faces. I smiled at them, reassuringly.
"I'm good. Just some morning sickness." I slowly stood up, brushed my teeth, and took a few steps out of the bathroom.
"Are you sure?" Glenn asked, putting his hand out to ensure I wasn't going to fall over. I nodded my head.
"Carol has prepared breakfast for us, go and get some to replenish what you just lost." Maggie said. I nodded my head, as Daryl exited the bathroom walking behind me to the kitchen downstairs.
"Good morning you two." Carol chirped, he smile wide as she handed us a bowl of oatmeal. "It's not much, but it will have to due until we get back." She said as she put two more bowls aside for Maggie and Glenn before getting one for herself.
"That's alright, we will make due with what we can. Thank you." I smiled back as I took a seat next to Daryl.
Maggie and Glenn joined us not long after and took a seat among us. We ate in silence, me eating a little quickly as my stomach rumbled. I looked up to see the boys and Maggie watching me eat a little quicker than normal. I slowed down, looking at Carol to see that she hasn't noticed. I began to eat again, slower this time. It wasn't long before I was finished, and as I sat up Daryl's quick reflects made me stop as he pushed his bowl of food towards me.
He ate a good portion of it, knowing I was going to reject a large amount, but left me enough that would take five or six spoons to finish. As my stomach growled again, contradicting my words to Daryl, he smirk at me before smiling at my tummy and back up at me as he took the empty plate and walked to the sink. He faced me and with his index finger, pointed at me making me sit. He left a nod and as I took the bowl, I noticed that there was some more then before. Looking at Maggie and Glenn, they finish the last spoon before getting up and smiling at Daryl.
I roll my eyes, and look at Carol. How is she still so oblivious to this? I knew that they will not take the food back, so I begin to finish it. Even though I hate that they are eating less than me, I am really grateful that they care so much as to make sure that I am eating enough.
Once I am finish, I bring my bowl to the sink where Carol is washing them and placing them to dry. I thank her again for the meal and help dry the dishes. Once we were done, we all gathered by the door and walked outside. The sun was starting to rise, and if we were going to make a good use of the day, we had to leave as soon as possible.
Daryl got into the front of the Tuscan. Carol, Maggie and Glenn in the back, and I went up to the gate. I slid the gate open enough to allow Daryl to drive through and shut it behind me. I jogged up to the car and hopped into the front seat. As we drove down the road, the unsettling feeling came back into my stomach and I began to wonder whether it was a good idea to go for this run.
Hey guys!!
I am sooooo sorry for the massive wait, I literally cannot explain how sorry I am. I've been so caught up in school and work that I haven't had anytime to write.
Also, I've been getting a few writer blocks and I'm trying to organize my ideas of this book from the other books that I've wrote or read, and I'm hoping that you guys understand.
I am not going to say that there will be an update soon, because look at how long it has been taking for this one.
Keep commenting: I love your comments, they make me laugh. Also if you guy do find errors (whether they be in my spelling or grammar,) DO NOT BE AFRAID TO TELL ME! A good author learns from his/her mistakes.
You guys are amazing love you all!
