Chapter 8

"Aleks!" Eddie ran to you and embraced you in a tight hug when you arrived at class. You weren't late. Surprisingly, you were actually kind of early.

"What're you doing here? Wait... No... I didn't mean it like that. Like you're here earlier than usual. Are you okay?" he looked worriedly at you.

Why was everyone acting so weird?

You just shrugged and made your way to your seat in the second row to the back.

"Come on class. If you don't sit down before the clock changes, you're tardy," Ms. Waters warned. She looked at you and gave you a sympathetic smile.

What the fucking hell? Why was everyone being so nice?

Eddie walked with you from class to class. He constantly kept giving you hugs and asking if you were okay; each time, you replied with a nod and a slight smile.

"Hey mute," James came and sat next to you during study hall. His friend stayed back. Guess James wanted you all to himself today.

You didn't look up from the table, you just sat with your head down. What was he gonna do to you today....

"I missed you this morning," He said softly. He didn't even feel that close to you. Taking a peek; he wasn't sitting up right next to you like he usually would. He didn't seem as aggressive either.

"I'm sorry for hurting you and I'm sorry for everything that's happened,"

Wow. He apologized. He actually fucking apologized. Out of all the people in the world, James was the last you thought would say anything like that to you.

This is weird.

"Just," he sighed. "I'm here okay? I'll help you if you need anything. I'm sorry. I didn't know about your dad,"

Your dad? He bullied you constantly and since he somehow find out about your dad, he stops?It doesn't make any fucking sense, but you're just glad he's off your back.

"You know I think you're cute right?" James asked you. It almost looked like he was blushing slightly.

James softly hugged you before walking back to his friends. You scanned the room, and about half were looking at you with sympathetic gazes. What the fuck was going on?

Then it sinks in.

Your bully; James fucking Wilson has a fucking crush on you.
