When you arrived in the classroom there was only five minutes of class left. Ms. Waters scowled at you, but didn't give you detention this time. She was going easy on you and you already had after school detention today.
"Take a seat Mr. Marchant,"
You glanced at Eddie. He had a more relieved expression on his face. You smiled at him, and kept your head up for the rest of the period, the whole five minutes.

"Did you get my texts?"
You shook your head and pulled out your phone. You hadn't checked it earlier in the rush that you were in.
[7:31] Good morning beautiful
[7:31] I'll see you at school <3
[7:38] You even awake?
[7:47] Aleks?
[7:56] Aleks you're gonna be late.
[7:59] Are you okay?
"Oops," you mouthed to him.
He gave you a light shove, "You asshole." Eddie giggled. "But what took you so long?"
You shrugged. You'd tell him later.
"Fine. Don't tell me. But we're hanging out after school,"
You shook your head.
"Why not?" he whined.
"Detention," you whispered.
"Oh yeah. Forgot about that. Okay. Text me," he kissed your cheek before leaving to his class.
~~~~
The room was dark. Room 143. This was the room you were supposed to meet at. You flicked on the lights. This was a science classroom.
Where was everyone? You couldn't be the only one in detention. Shouldn't there be a teacher in here to supervise?
"What're you doing here?" His familiar voice appeared behind you. You turned around, holding up your pink detention slip.
"Wow Aleksandr. You bad boy," James chuckled and sat down at a desk. You looked around again.
"The teacher's gonna be here: Mr. Elwin," He sat back and pulled out his phone. "You have him?"
You shook your head.
"Oh well. He usually gets here later. He's really cool,"
Two other students entered the classroom. Freshmen.
They think they're so cool in detention.
"Hey James!" One of the kids called to him. James just waved to him and continued texting. You took a seat in the back of the room. What were you gonna do for two hours? You sat down at one of the cleanest looking desks in the back, setting your backpack on the ground beside you. All the others seemed to be vandalized in some form, whether that be drawings or gum.
The door slowly opened again. Great. More people.
But these faces were familiar. You knew these people.
"Aleks!" Eddie called to you. God. Did he really have to shout?
Eddie and Seamus wove through the desks to you. Seamus gave a quick wave to James.
"Hey. We came to wait with you," Eddie beamed, catching your lips.
"Thanks, but you don't have to. Go home." You whispered, loud enough Seamus could hear, but quiet so James couldn't.
"No. I wanna wait here with you," Eddie persisted. Seamus nodded too.
You smiled at your friends. They were willing to hang out in detention with you. The door opened again. This time a teacher walked in.
"Come on. Slips up here," He sat down at the teachers desk at the front of the room. James and the other two boys stood up and walked over, handing him their notes. You stood and walked up. The teacher looked old, but he didn't seem like an asshole. You handed him the pink slip from Ms. Waters. He took a quick look at you before reading over the paper.
"You don't talk?" He asked. You shook your head.
"Waters just has a cork up her butt. I'm not sure why she would be mad at you . We have the freedom of speech, or in this case; not speaking."
You sighed and nodded.
"And your friends there are nice to come and wait for you. I'll let you go. You don't pay for a crime you didn't do. Just don't tell anybody," He leaned in so the others wouldn't hear.
You smiled to him before walking back to Eddie and Seamus. You picked up your bag and motioned them to follow you.
You gave a smile to the teacher, who you were assuming was Mr. Elwin, before exiting the classroom. You could hear James behind you, "Damn why do they get to leave!"
"Because they're not assholes like you James," The teacher swore back. The rest of their conversation was muffled as the door closed.
"That teacher's awesome," Eddie giggled. You nodded in agreement. The halls were empty at this point, so you Eddie and Seamus walked alone.
"I have him for Language Arts. He's hilarious," Seamus slipped his hands into his pockets. "Hey guys I umm... forgot something in my locker so ...I'm gonna go get it. See ya," he quickly stated before swiftly walking back down the hallway.
"BYE SEAMUS!" Eddie shouted to him down the hall. "Did that seem random?"
"Yep," you replied. "He's obviously up to something."
"Well, I don't really care. I get to spend more time with you," Eddie slipped his hand into yours. You blushed and pulled him closer to you. You turned to look at him. He looked back at you with his his large brown eyes. He was so perfect.
Eddie leaned in and caught you in a deep kiss. You had to take a step backwards to keep from falling. His hand let go of yours and held your waist and you slipped your arms over his shoulders.
You were truly in love with this man.
