Your head was spinning. Everything was too real, too great. You had a boyfriend who loved you, and you loved him. The man who had brought you so much pain was finally gone forever. You had friends other than Eddie, not that Eddie wasn't enough.
You didn't deserve this. There was no way in hell that you deserved this. But this is what you got and you were thankful.
"Aleks? You awake?" Eddie shook you slightly. You were curled up on his couch. Eddie wanted to watch Adventure Time, and you couldn't say no to him. You sat in his lap, head resting on his warm chest. His arm was cradled around you.
"Yeah. I'm awake," you cuddled further into Eddie.
"Okay. I was just wondering," he kissed your forehead. "You're cute, you know that?"
"I've heard," you replied, blushing. "I also have the greatest boyfriend in the world."
"Your boyfriend is really smart. He chose you,"
"Well I'm grateful."
Both of you burst out laughing. You could feel Eddie giggling use you.
"That was the cheesiest thing I have done in my life," you groaned, sitting up to face Eddie.
"Well I liked it," he kissed your nose.
"Eddie. You fucking missed," you sarcastically groaned at him.
"Shut the fuck up!" he giggled before leaning in and kissing you for real.
