You swiped a quick hand across your face and stood up. Before you could open the door. The person behind it began to speak.
"Aleks...." He started. "I know you're in there and I hope you're not doing anything bad, but I need to say this now before you hear it from anyone else because it's important," Your uncle's sentence trailed on.
"Would you please come out here?" he asked.
You slowly opened the door to see your uncles distressed face. He looked extremely tired and slightly disappointed.
"I was watching the news yesterday," he began slowly. "I'm just gonna say it," He paused one more time. "Your father commit suicide,"
'What the hell?' You thought. You were shocked. 'Why the fuck would he do that?'
"He got his hands on a gun and drove to some mall parking lot. He started shouting out his window; apologizing for things he had done. Eventually the police showed up and tried to talk him out of it, but he shot himself anyway. Upon later inspection, they found tons of alcohol in his blood,"
You didn't know what to think. Your father was dead. The man that had caused you harm for years was finally gone. But the man that once loved you, the man who held you as a child and promised to always protect you. He was gone as well.
Wait. It was on the news yesterday?
That's why everyone was looking at you like that. That's why your teachers were being so nice. That's why James was being so nice.
Did he actually care?
You started to giggle uncontrollably. It slowly escalated to a full on maniacal belly laugh. For a moment, you truly felt free.
"T-Th-Thank y-you," you spoke aloud. Not to your uncle, not to your dad, but to the world.
"A-Aleks? You talked. You actually fucking talked! Holy shit! Oh my god praise the lord!" Your uncle seemed overjoyed just from hearing your voice.
You just nodded and smiled.
"It's okay if you don't want to talk again. I understand. But just know that I care about you," he gripped your arms then pulled you into a tight hug, his scruff tickling your neck.
"W-what did my dad say when he was shouting?" you croaked. You weren't used to talking yet, but you felt willing for the first time in 7 years.
"Oh that... Apparently he shouted sorry repeatedly. Sorry to his parents, sorry to his family, sorry to your mother, and sorry to you. He apologized for everything he had done to you," your uncle.
You couldn't believe it. That bastard wouldn't apologize. He was too consumed in his own self to think about you even once, even if he was intoxicated.
"That's all I wanted to tell you. You still okay?" Your uncle asked.
You nodded and smiled. You felt much better than you had before.
"I'm glad you feel better Aleks. You know I care for you right? As much as it may not seem like it, I really do,"
He stood up and made his way to the door. He turned around one last time before walking out.
"You know something? Your first word was; Talk,"

WOAH. ALEKS SAYS STUFF!
Did you like it? I thought it was okay... Could be better.
I WILL EXPLAIN ALEKS WHOLE ENTIRE BACKSTORY IN A LATER CHAPTER. DON'T WORRY. IT WILL MAKE SENSE.
And I apologize for using caps and stuff. I just want to get people's attention.
Fun Fact: I type all my stories on my iPod. Mainly cause I don't want anyone (my parents) finding them. And sadly, stupid iPod doesn't have bold or italics.....
One more thing. Just a fun question you should answer in the comments:
How many people are you subscribed to? And who's your favorite YouTuber?
I know I said A question and put in two, buttfuckit.
I'm not at a computer so idk the exact number, but I'm subbed to atleast 140 people... Is that alot?
And my favorite(s) are Mr.360Games, Immortal, Sly, Crabstickz, Danisnotonfire, and I'm not gonna say anymore before I get carried away. If you're curious further, message me. I'd love talking to you :)
