"Aleks, Aleks, Aleks, Aleks, ALEKS!" Eddie ran up and shouted to you. You were at your locker putting the things away you wouldn't need over the weekend.
"Come on let's go!" He shouted and giggled. Eddie grabbed your hand and pulled you swiftly through the crowds of people, almost making you trip.
'Slow the fuck down Eddie,' you thought.
You had made it outside the doors and he continued running with you down this street. Once Eddie slowed at a crosswalk, you pulled your hand out of his; a slight disappointment was evident in his face.
"Sorry Aleks," he blushed. You patted his shoulder to indicate it was alright.
"Could we get icecream?!" He instantly sprung up.
You had no clue where the fuck that idea came from. You smiled and nodded and Eddie giggled his famous giggle.
You walked side by side to the nearest icecream place, Eddie directing. You didn't know this area very well.
Once you were inside, Eddie walked straight up to the counter and ordered for the both of you.
"Two chocolate cones please," he giggled. The guy at the counter rolled his eyes and reluctantly scooped the icecream. Eddie turned to you and just giggled harder.
'Shut the fuck up Eddie!' You thought. Downside of being mute. You can't tell your friends to be quiet.
You pulled out your wallet to pay for your icecream, but Eddie pushed it away.
"No no no Aleks," He warned. "I got this,"
You elbowed him and tried to hand the man your money.
"No Aleks," he shoved your hand away and swiftly have the cashier your money.
Downside to being mute. You can't argue.
"THANK YOU!" Eddie shouted to the people behind the counter as you walked out with your icecream.
After only minutes of walking, you reached Eddie's house.
"MAMA!" He shouted into the empty house.
"EDDIE?" She called back.
"JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU THAT I'M HOME. ALEKS AND I ARE HANGING OUT!" Eddis's amount of talking makes up for your non talking.
"OKAY!" She replied.
"Let's go," he beamed and giggled.
After leaving your stuff inside and throwing away your garbage, you quickly slipped your notebook away before following Eddie as he ran outside.
"Come on Aleks!" He shouted at you. You weren't even walking that slow, but he was skipping. Fucking skipping....
Once you saw the tree in the distance, Eddie broke out into a run.
You watched your friend sit and kick up on the swing like a little kid would. It was adorable.
"Aleks come swing with me!" Eddie squealed as he soared through the air. He had a lot of energy today; more than usual
You jogged over and sat on the swing beside him. Barely kicking your feet up, you began to gently sway.
He giggled and slowed his swing, swaying in time with you.
"How are you?" He looked at you and smiled. You immediately reached for your pocket by instinct, but then remembered you had left your notebook at the house on purpose.
Instead you held out your hand to Eddie. "Hi," you said. "My name is Aleks,"
