Image on top is what I pictured Ambers top to look like for the party :)

So the last chapter, well what did you think? Were you guys shocked at how Kaden took such a drastic turn from what you've seen of him so far or do you think he's got the inner cuddly bear?

Do Vote and comment your thoughts on this chapter. I'm dying to hear what you've got to say.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

I WAS REALLY surprised to find Troy, Wilde and Edward greeting me, with Wilde going as far as to say I looked absolutely enticing. Normally, I wouldn't be surprised, it was typical behaviour for them. But in the past few days, nearly all the members of the football team had shunned me, avoiding meeting my eyes and going flat out to ignore me. Wilde had even the other day been reluctant to help me pick up my pencil that fell right beside his chair.

I pretended along with them, like they hadn't been hostile towards me the past week because that's what was expected of me. To be frank, I was more than grateful to have them speak to me again. I didn't feel so alienated, with Wilde's harmless flirting, Troy's humour and Edwards constant apologising for the two boys.

Eventually, I realised that the reason for their abrupt shift was not Kaden, but instead, the looming shadow of Joey's party. It was the kind of thing that made girls gush about what they were going to wear, who they'd shag and who might get together. I wasn't an exception. I was still trying to figure out what top I was going to wear.

"As soon as your time with Mr. Richard is up," Rekha said arm looped with mine as we walked towards our class, "you're coming over to my house to help me with my hair."

"Do you want to borrow that white dress you liked?" I asked.

"And get it stained?" Rekha raised her eyebrow, "hell no."

"What are you going to wear?" I asked her.

"I've got these cute shorts that show a bit of ass, and a white tank top with a blue jean-jacket." She said eagerly, "What do you think?"

"Heels?"

"brown boots," Rekha corrected.

"I'll need to see it, but it sounds good."

She elbowed me, "Kaden just glanced at you."

I wanted to look up and search for the brown haired boy I knew would be around. Dropping my voice, I asked her, "Where is he?"

"My five o'clock," Rekha directed. "Look now."

I did, I spotted him, in a plain white shirt that clung to his skin, showing his muscles, he wore light blue jeans with cuts at his knee. He looked like someone had thrown the clouds at him. I noticed the calculated smile, conversation he probably practised, saying all the right words to the blonde boy next to him. Cassian looked sincere and honest, but Kaden. Well, he didn't.

I didn't know what I expected. I turned back to my locker feeling slightly dimmer.

"Well, aren't you going to ask him if he's going?" Rekha badgered.

"Why? Who cares if he's going?"

Rekha frowned, lines appearing on her face as she appeared to study me.
