Bow down to a god so your life is saved
Chris POV
Well, last night didn't go exactly as planned. Not that I mind, but, I need to talk to Raven formally and I can't keep putting it off. I mean, it's not really necessary, but I would like to do it. Raven leaves for work and I call up Devin to get his wonderful, though sometimes not helpful, advice.
"Chris, do you have any idea what time it is?" He asks me,
"Time for you to get your lazy ass out of bed," I reply, chuckling. "I need your help, Dev."
"Alright, what is it?" He asks me.
"So I planned on asking Raven to be my submissive last night when we went out to dinner, but one thing lead to another and it never happened," I explain. "So, how do I ask her, now?"
Devin chuckles, "Wow, Chris. Normally, you're on top of this. Well, I suggest asking her when you guys are just sitting around or something. I don't know, Chris. Go with your gut."
"Yeah, I know, Raven makes me abandon everything," I sigh. "But, I guess you're right, thanks, Ghost."
"No problem, Chris. If you'll excuse me, I'm going back to bed," and with a click, he hangs up.
I sigh and get up, taking off my boxers and grabbing a new pair, also getting a pair of jeans and my white, ripped tank before going into the bathroom for a quick shower. I meant what I said, Raven makes me abandon all logic. Her beauty captivates me and I find myself struggling to control myself when I'm around her. She's like a siren: beautiful yet dangerous. I still have to unlock the secrets of her mind, but I hope that with time she'll open up to me.
Her friends mentioned that her life was full of abuse and the guy before me was a complete douche who destroyed Raven and made her afraid of her own shadow. It's hard to believe that at first glance because she carries herself with such confidence that you'd never guess she's this insecure, broken girl. I love that she trusts me enough to show me both sides of her. One night, we were watching a movie and she started crying. I asked her what was wrong and she told me that life wasn't fair. To me, that moment was the most precious thing she's shared with me. I love her so much and I hate to think of her getting hurt.
After eating breakfast, I decide to go visit Raven at work. When I walk in, Ange is working the counter and he smiles when he sees me.
"Hey, Chris, what's up, man?"
I smile back, "Nothing much, man, how about you?"
"I'm good, business is well, partially because it's frequented by fan girls, but, you know," he laughs. "Raven's in the back, Jace is giving her a lesson."
I nod and lean against the counter, "She hasn't been giving you trouble, has she?"
He laughs, "Nah, I'd tell you if she was, trust me. You'd be the first to know." He looks at my arms, "Hey, if you ever want these touched up, I'll do 'em for free."
"Thanks, Angelo, but if I have you do my tats, I'd be paying you, no matter how much you complained. You're my best friend."
He rolls his eyes and Raven comes out from the back with Jace. I am caught off guard by her sudden beauty. Her long black hair is swept up in a messy bun and the sunlight is hitting her face, making her eyes glow. She runs over to me and throws her arms around me.
"Hey, Chris! What are you doing here?" She asks me.
"I just came to visit you. When does your shift end?"
"Uh, now, why?"
"Let's go get some lunch," I offer.
"Okay," she smiles.
