Unknown POV

She doesn't know I'm watching her. She is still so beautiful and I can't wait until she's mine again. The guy she's with is pathetic and weak. He can't protect her, he can't love her like I can. She loves me, it just needs to lam come back to her. How much she told me she loved me. How she used to beg for me not to go, for me to take her back. I would spoil her and let her back, I would give her the world. She's mine, and no one's allowed to have her.
Don't worry, my darling, I'll be back soon.

Raven POV

I walk into the tattoo shop and Jace grins at me while I flip him off. I slide my sunglasses off and run a hand through my hair.
"You look exhausted," Jace comments.
"Keep your comments to yourself," I grumble. I take the appointment book and start to write the names and times in the chalkboard while Jace puts on some music. I yawn as Angelo walks in. He gives me a look and I wave him off while Jace makes a gesture.
"I saw that."
I turn around to see Jace looking scared and he switches his gaze between Ange and I. "Ange, why don't I take your first appointment?"
Angelo smirks, "Sorry, Jace, but they specifically asked for me." He shrugs, "You can handle walk-ins and give Rae her lesson."
I smile sweetly, "Don't worry, Jace, I don't bite very hard."
"Raven, stop antagonising, Jace, grow a pair," Angelo instructs before disappearing into his office.
I sit on the counter and cock an eyebrow at Jace. "How's the boyfriend?"
Jace grins, "He's good, he went to visit family for a few days, so I'm home alone and missing him like crazy."
"You've been dating for three years, correct?"
"Yes, four years next month."
"Why didn't you go with him?"
Jace shrugs, "I don't like his family, they're very judgemental. Jeremy hates them as well, but, he only goes to at least pretend he loves his parents. His sisters are awesome, they are really the only people in the immediate family whom I genuinely like spending time with."
"So, are you ever gonna ask him to marry you?"
"I don't know, we haven't really discussed marriage."
I nod and a girl walks in. I smile at her and slide behind the counter. "Hi, here to see Angelo?"
She nods, "I have an appointment with him."
"One sec," I knock on Ange's door, "Ange? Your appointment is here."
"Be right out, thanks Raven."
"He'll be right there," I say to the girl, "Meanwhile, why don't I help you get set up."
She nods and I hop over the counter, motioning for her to follow me as we go to one of the stations. She sits down and I grab some pencils and carbon paper.
"Do you know what you want?"
She nods, "Yeah, I want a raven with a trail of feathers coming out of it."
I raise an eyebrow, "Do you have any sketches or anything?"
She nods, pulling a piece of paper out of her bag, "Here."
I smile, "Thank you, I'm gonna need you to take off your shirt, do you have anything on underneath that that would allow us to work?"
She nods, shrugging her shirt off revealing a tank top that was low-cut in the back. Angelo joins us and I hand him the paper as well as everything else he needs. He nods to me in thanks and I leave them, the girl laughing nervously at something Angelo says. My phone buzzes and I check it.
"Hey, can you come to the club tonite?"
"I don't see why not. I'll just have to check with Chris. Why?"
"It's a special occasion and I'm not working and we haven't been clubbing in forever."
"Sounds good."
"Thanks, Rae, love you xoxoxo"
I smile and set a reminder for me to ask Chris if it's okay. I don't like interrupting him while he's in the studio, even if he can't exactly hear his phone through the music. Jace walks over to me and leans against the counter.
"S'up, lady?"
I sigh dramatically, "I'm hungry."
He chuckles and leans over the counter where his backpack is. He pulls out some celery and offers me some.
"Thanks babe," I reply, winking.
He laughs and shakes his head. A guy walks into the shop and comes over to the counter.
"Hi, can I help you?" I ask him.
His eyes rake over me and I suppress a shudder, "Yeah, you do walk-ins?"
"Yes, we do, you want a tattoo?" Jace cuts in, glaring at him.
The guy reluctantly looks at Jace, "Yeah, depends on who's gonna give it."
"I am, you want one or not?" Jace asks.
The guy thinks about it for a second while I start pulling binders up and placing them on the counter. He leers at me for a second and I growl at him.
"You want a tattoo or not? You're wasting our time," I snap.
Jace puts his hand on my arm and the guy glares at me. "You know what, I'll come back some other day."
As he leaves I huff and Jace chuckles. "Bastard. Filthy, slimy bastard." I shudder again and Angelo and the girl come over to the counter. Jace and I move over to give Ange room as he sets up another appointment with her and she pays.
Once she's gone, he turns to us. "I thought we had a walk-in?"
"Yeah, a walk-in that would try to molest me while I'm giving him a tattoo," I reply.
"Ah, okay. That's okay then, I'll have to tell Chris, though," Angelo replies.
I pout, "Do you have to? Nothing happened, though."
He shrugs, "Sorry, I don't want to face his wrath and he needs to know. Go to lunch, Rae."
I huff and grab my keys, "Fine, but, I'm talking a long break. I'll be back." I leave and look around, debating on driving somewhere or go it a place that I can walk to. The weather is so nice, and so I decide to walk around for a bit.
