I woke up in Newt's arms and smiled at him. He was so adorable when he was asleep. He opened his eyes and sat up. "Good morning, beautiful," he said.
"Morning," I replied.
We went to get breakfast and we saw the Greenie sitting with Chuck. We went over to them.
"Hello," I said as Newt and I sat down next to each other, across from the Greenie and Chuck.
   "Hi," the Greenie said.
   "Hey!" Chuck greeted us.
I smiled at my little brother, I mean Chuck.
"Do you remember your name, Greenie?" Newt asked.
"Yeah, actually I do," the Greenie replied. "It's Thomas."
Thomas. I dreamt about him before. Along with Teresa. Teresa. She talked to me in my head. I thought back to my dream where that lady was explaining some plan to me. Something about the Maze. I don't remember exactly what about the Maze but I remember her mentioning sending Thomas after me and the next day, they would send Teresa. Wait, the next day. That would mean today!
"Addison?" A voice interrupted my thoughts. "Earth to Addison. Can you hear me?" Newt waved his hand in front of my face.
"Huh? What? I wasn't completely lost in thought just now."
"Sure," Newt looked at me with a weird look on his face.
I gave him my best smile. "I'll be back," I said as I got up and headed to my room.
I tried to remember my dream. What had that mysterious lady told me? Could it help get us out of this Maze?
I heard a knock on my door. "Come in!"
Newt walked in. "Are you okay?"
"Me? Yeah I'm fine. What makes you think otherwise?"
Newt eyed me suspiciously. "You've been acting weird all morning."
"Me? Acting weird?"
Newt rolled his eyes. "Yes. Now tell me, what's wrong?"
"Nothing," I said a little too quickly.
"You're lying."
"No I'm not."
"Yes you are."
"So what if I am?!"
"So you are lying."
It wasn't a question. It was a statement. And I had no response.
"Addison," Newt said sternly.
"Yes, mother?"
"Addison!" Newt looked like he was about to explode. "Just tell me what's wrong."
"Nothing is wrong!"
"Stop lying to me."
"I'm not lying," I said, not looking at him.
"Not lying? Okay then, say that while looking me in the eye."
I looked Newt in the eye and sighed. "Fine, something is wrong."
Newt's eyes softened. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"Not really," I said.
"Are you sure?"
I nodded.
"Does it have something to do with Thomas?"
I didn't reply.
"It does, doesn't it?"
I slowly nodded.
"Okay well I remember you said that you saw him in your dream and you knew his name before even he remembered," Newt began. "So I would like you to explain this in more detail."
   "Why?" I whined.
"I don't think you realize this, Addison, but this has never happened before and we need to understand," Newt said calmly.
"Understand what?" I was getting more and more frustrated by this conversation.
"Everything!" I could tell Newt was frustrated too. "You can't just show up here and remember everything and not tell us when some of us have been here for two years, trying to find a way out! That's not fair now is it?"
"Yeah well life's not fair, Newt," I said. "We're all stuck in here now! I don't know how to get out! Now Thomas is here and we're gonna keep getting new Greenies and the cycle won't end! We're stuck here in this prison! I thought you would've realized that by now!"
Newt looked very shocked. He almost looked offended. Then his expression changed. He glared at me. "Yes, Addison," he said in a monotone voice. "I do know that, I don't need you to point that out! I know that we've been getting new Greenies every month! I know that the cycle won't end! I know we've been trying to get out of this shucking Maze for two years and we're still stuck here! If I didn't know that, I wouldn't have jumped off the shucking Maze wall! If I didn't know that, I wouldn't have this damn limp!" He shouted the last sentence.
Now I was shocked. I just stared at him, not knowing what to say.
"You know what? I don't care anymore. If you have a problem, talk to Alby," Newt said.
"Newt, wait," I tried to stop him but he already left. "I'm sorry," I whispered.
