The ride to the hospital was long and silent. It would have been shorter if Jay, being idiot he was, had forgotten to put gas in his car. By the time we got to the hospital I could feel the tension between Jay and Rogue, and couldn't take it anymore. As soon as the car stopped I unbuckled, and got out. "Hey! Sarah, where you going? You should at least wait for us."

I stopped and looked back, noticing that Rogue and Jay were still sitting in the car. Jay was yelling out the door I had left open. I rolled my eyes, "What?"

"Don't you think we should at least call your parents before we go in?" Jay pulled out his phone and started to type in my number "555-9823, right?" He handed me the phone, but it just kept ringing. I knew it was coming next, the voicemail picked up.

"Hi! You've reached Mark and Diane! We can't answer the phone right now, please leave your name and number, and will get back to you as soon as we can." I felt a knot forming in my throat, "And if it's Sarah, just remember, we love you!" The voicemail clicked over to record, but I didn't say anything. All I could do was end the call feeling numb and hollow.

"I live with my aunt... M-my parents..." My voice caught in my throat.

"Crimson." Rogue had gotten out of the car and was standing next to me. I didn't look at him I had taken a sudden interest in my shoes. They were old and torn.

"I should really get new shoes for school...", I thought. Rogue gave Jay a dirty look.

"How was I supposed to know? It's not like she told us. I ... I didn't know." He turned to me, "I'm sorry."

I managed a weak smile. "Hey, calm your kittens. That was the past, this is now. It's all right." He didn't seem to understand. "What I mean is, forget the past, forget the future, and to live only for now. Even though my parents are.... Um... Gone, and it makes me sad, I'm going to push past it and live in the moment" there was an awkward silence so I looked up from my feet and saw that rogue and Jay were looking at me. "Hmm... OK, enough of this. I need a doctor." I laughed nervously and walked inside.

When we walked through the door people looked at a strangely. We must have look like some random punks after a fistfight, except for the fact that Jade gone back to his usual self he was smiling like a doofus. "OK... Two punks and a psycho. Maybe this could work." I thought and smiled to myself.

"Can I help you?" The woman at the front desk asked, seemingly annoyed that I had interrupted her coffee break.

"Uh, yeah. This is the hospital after all." I stepped closer to the desk, studying her false, painted on eyebrows. "I have a broken hand." I lifted it up showing that it was bruised black and blue.

"Well, you will need to fill out this form, and explain exactly what happened." She glared at Rogue and Jay, "I'm sure it will be very interesting, won't it?" Rogue managed to look sheepish, and Jays smile seem to shrink a little.

"Yeah, sure." I just grabbed the paper and walked away from the desk grumbling under my breath.

"Hey, Crimson?" Rogue tapped my shoulder.

"Yeah?"

"You think they would get me some ice for my ice? It's swelling pretty bad" he grinned a little, and I didn't understand why thought my stomach flip at that moment, but it did. I looked around trying to move my attention elsewhere. I noticed something, or rather someone, near the back of the waiting room, but quickly looked away again, I didn't want to Rogue to notice.
