{Scorpius}

"So do you remember the plan?" Nott asks again.

"Yes," I reply, "Message you, leg-locking curse, blindfold, message him, flood, frame."

"Good," Nott says smirking.

Avery rubs his hands together gleefully, "They're gonna be so dead!"

"You sure you wanna do this? We'll probably get caught, and I can't afford to be in anymore trouble," I say to Nott.

I feel bad doing this, I want Rose to forgive me, not hate me more. And Albus will hate me even more than Rose, because he forgave me.

"Yeah, of course we're gonna go ahead and do it. This is what we've been planning for the last 2 weeks!" Nott says.

I sigh, I don't want to stuff up my chances with Albus and Rose, but I don't want t stuff them up with Nott, Avery and Warrington either.

"Ok?" Nott says threateningly.

"Ok." I sigh.

"Awesome," Nott says, "Well you better get a move on, your detention starts in 5 minutes."

"What, but my detention," I start, but then I remember that I told them my detention starts at 5:00 instead of 7:00, "Oh yeah, bye," I say, standing up and leaving.

I have no idea what I'm going to do for 2 hours, I can't go to Hagrid's, not after he told Rose to forgive me last week. I can't go to the Great Hall, if I do Nott and the others will know I've been lying about my detentions.

I walk around for a while, feeling hungry. I wish I was at home, if I was Scarlett and I would go steal some chocolate from the kitchen, and then we would make a tent out of our blankets, then we'd go under eat the chocolate and tell stories. Even thinking about Scarlett makes me sad and worried. I still can't work out why she didn't come and see me off the platform. She said Grandfather Malfoy was taking her out for the day. But she hadn't sounded happy or excited when she'd said it.

I sigh, wishing I had some chocolate.

{Rose}

I walk down to detention, feeling happy.

Tonight is my last night, no more mopping floors, or scrubbing toilets, and best of all, no more Scorpius Malfoy!

I'm still not sure how I feel about him, I hate him for what he said about Mum, but at the same time I feel kind of sorry for him, he seems to really, desperately want my forgiveness.

I get to Filch's office with 5 minutes to spare, and am hugely surprised to see Malfoy already there. He's almost always late.

Filch comes out at 7 and tells us that like last Friday we'll be cleaning the toilets with toothbrushes like last Friday. I roll my eyes, and glance over at Malfoy, half excepting him to say something witty, like he usually does, yesterday I actually laughed. But tonight he doesn't, he just stares down out the floor, his cheeks slightly flushed.

We grab our toothbrushes and buckets and begin to follow Filch to the first bathroom.

"Grouchy old git, isn't he," I mutter to Malfoy, in an attempt to lighten the mood, and maybe even forgive him. But he doesn't look up from his shoes.

"Hello?!" I say waving my hand in front of his face, but he knocks it aside.

"Don't talk to me," he mutters, walking a bit faster.

I glare at him, hot anger bubbling, "Don't talk to you?!" I whisper yell, catching up to him, "For 2 whole weeks you've been begging me for forgiveness! Now you just blow me off! What is wrong with you?!" I quickly run up to just behind Filch, and fall into step there, leaving Malfoy behind.

By 11 o'clock we've scrubbed half the toilets in the school, and my arms are aching.

"Just one more, then I have to let you go," Filch says, leading the way to the next toilet.

I sigh, heaving my heavy rusty bucket along, the soapy water sloshing up at the sides.

I stop at the bathroom door, putting my bucket down.

"What are you doing?!" Filch barks.

"Um, going to clean the toilets," I say my voice trailing off, as I feel confused.

"That's Moaning Myrtle's bathroom," Filch says in a bored voice. Malfoy rolls his eyes, as though it's the most obvious thing in the world. I glare at him, making a face.

I have no idea who Moaning Myrtle is, but I know it means we don't have to clean it.

Malfoy and I follow Filch into the next bathroom, which is definitely the smelliest.

Wrinkling my nose I begin to scrub at a pee stain on the floor.

By 12 o'clock the bathroom may not be sparkling clean, but it is definitely a lot cleaner than it was an hour ago.

"You can go now," Filch says grumpily.

I stand up, my back aching from 5 hours of a rubbing toilets with a toothbrush.

I drop my toothbrush into my bucket with a plonk, and walk out of the bathroom, before Filch can change his mind.

I hear Malfoy leave behind me, but I don't look around, I'm still fuming at the way he blew me off today after 2 weeks of begging me for forgiveness, but I'm not entirely sure why I care so much, it's just Malfoy after all.

I pull my wand out and mutter, "Lumos," my wand tip lights up, sending a long narrow beam of light down the dark empty corridor.

I walk a few meters, pass the snoozing portraits, before stopping and shivering.

I wish Al was here, or Lily, my 2 bestfriends. I don't like being alone in the dark at midnight.

I walk a bit further, turn left, go down a staircase, then turn right, before admitting that I'm hopelessly lost.

I hear breathing behind me, I spin around, lighting up the end of the corridor with my wand, but nothing's there except for a suit of amour.

I turn back around, my heart still beating loudly in my ears.

I walk a few more meters, before I hear a mutter, then a whoosh of wind.

My legs snap together, and I drop my wand, and the tip goes out; encasing me in darkness, as I fall backwards.

I let out scream, terrified that my head is going to hit the hard cold stone floor, but before my skull cracks open to cover the stone in my blood, a strange eerie sensation creeps over my body and I start to hover.

Wingardium Leviosa, I think, before screming at the top of my lungs.

"Shut her up!" I hear a voice yell over my scream.

I hear a shuffle of feet, before a hand clamps over my mouth.

I flail my arms about, trying to hit the dark shadowy figure who has his hand over mouth.

"C'mon! But the blindfold on!" Says the boy with his hand over my mouth.

I hear more feet shuffling over, and a dark piece of cloth gets tied around my head.

"Hurry up!" Says the first voice.

"I think we should stop, we'll get in trouble!" Says a voice I recognize vaguely.

"No! Move her along!" The first voice barks.

I begin to move, still hovering, the blindfold over my eyes and the other boy's sweaty hand over my mouth.

I do the last thing left.

I lick his hand.

And scream.
