{Rose}

The rest of the holidays pass quickly, and pretty soon Al and I are back on the train, in our Weasley jumpers (mine pinky-red with a gold rose on it, and Al's emerald green with a golden A on it) and meeting Scorp in a compartment.

-

And pretty soon January turns into February, which turns into March.

Al and Scorp get detention for setting of a bag of Dungbombs in the Transfiguration dempartment to try and get out of trouble for not doing there homework for the third time in a row.

March turns to April and weather starts to get nicer, and we spend less time in the Room of Requirement and more time outdoors, or in Hagrid's Hut.

With one week until the Easter Holidays, Uncle Neville keeps me and Al in after Herbology with the Hufflepuffs.

"Rosie, Al," he says.

"Yes Uncle Neville?" I say brightly.

"Yeah Uncle Nev?" Al says.

Neville laughs. 'Uncle Nev' is a name reserved only for James and Albus.

"I've been noticing that you've been hanging out with, well, with Malfoy."

I feel my whole body tense up, "You haven't told my dad, have you?!" I ask, desperately.

"No, no I haven't," Neville says.

I let out a sigh of relief, and I hear Al do the same.

"I haven't told anyone, except Luna, she says I shouldn't confront you, but I have to warn you. He is exactly like his father. He is no good, you have to stay away from him." Neville says seriously.

I glare at Neville, and open my mouth to defend Scorp, before Al interrupts me, knowing of my hot temper.

"Look, Scorp is our friend. He is nothing like his father. But please don't tell our parents, please," Al says.

I bite my lip, holding back my defenses for Scorp.

Neville sighs, "I just don't want to see you to get hurt. Draco Malfoy was a bully, and," he sighs again, "and I don't see why Scorpius Malfoy should be any different."

"Well he is!" I say hotly, but Al interrupts me, "He's our friend. I swear."

Neville sighs, "Ok, I promise not to tell as well."

-

The Easter holidays come and go, and are mainly consist of me studying for the exams, and me trying to get Albus and Scorp to study.

The week before the exams arrive, and I'm surprised at how surprised Al and Scorp are.

"Well how can you be? I've been saying it for ages!" I tell them as we leave DADA.

"Yes, but we don't actually listen to you," Scorp says cheekily.

I elbow him in the ribs jokily, rolling me eyes. Al laughs.

The next week is spent studying at a furious pace.

And sooner then I believe I am sitting in my spot, in between Scorp and Albus, in the DADA classroom.

Patil hands out the test, and I carefully write my name at the top: Rose J Weasley. I wait till she's given it to everyone, before writing the first answer: It causes your legs to lock together. Known as the leg-locking curse. A easy jinx to cast, with the wrist movement of a simple flick and yet very effective.

I get through half of the test before I hear the beeping in my pocket.

I take out the sneak-a-scope-like object and stare at it, my heart beating loudly.

I gulp, "Professor Patil!" I say.

"Yes, please turn that awful sneak-o-scope off. I assure you that nothing bad is happening." Patil says.

"I know, but please, I have to-" I begin, but she interrupts me, "Turn it off Miss Weasley."

I get up, and I can feel everyone's eyes on me.

The beeping gets louder and faster.

I walk up to Patil's desk, "Please, it's not a-" I start.

"Turn it off Miss Weasley, and go to your desk."

"No," but I stop myself.

I run out of the room, dropping the warner, as it beeps louder.

I stuff my wand in my mouth, so it stcks out either side of my mouth, to stop myself from biting my tongue off.

Before I fall to the ground and everything goes black.

-

I blink up at Albus, and I carefully push myself up into a sitting position.

"How long?" I ask.

"About 10 seconds. Are you ok?" He asks.

I nod, rubbing my head.

I can see my class running to the doorway.

But Scorp is already there. His eyes catch mine, and he turns away.

"Rose! Rose! Oh my! I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" Patil asks hurriedly, "I didn't realize. I should of remember! I am so sorry!"

"Yeah, yeah," I say vaguely, "can I go, hospital wing? Take test later?"

"Yes of course Rose, would you like me, or Mr. Potter to accompany you?"

I shake my head, and get up, walking slowly down to the hospital wing.

But I stop halfway, and slump against the wall. My head in my hands.

I have epilepsy.

I have since I was six.

I hate it.

I am not proud of it.

Yet, I can not be me with out it.

-

Apart from my disastrous DADA exam, the rest of them go very well.

And I am sure that I have passes every single one!

With the next week being completely free, Al, Scorp and I have a sleep over in the Room of Requirement.

It is the BEST sleep over ever!

The next day we get our results back and I am pleased to find that I got 100% in everything except History of Magic (96%).

-

And pretty soon we are back on the Hogwarts Express, sitting in the same compartment that we met in. Play Exploding Snap, Stormy the ferret around Al's neck, the world flashing past.

And as I take a quick look out the window it occurs to me that the houses we are now passing are full of people who don't know I exist.

And I don't know that they exist.

So many people out there.

But I smile as I play my card.

It doesn't matter.

As long as I have my best friends.
