I stared at the horrified face of my fiancé and for a second I saw fear in her eyes as she looked at the monster standing not so far away from her.

The monster that can be identified as Edward Anthony Masen Cullen.

I looked down in shame. I couldn’t look at her.

I saw Tanya’s shocked and frightened face as she looked at me. I can’t believe what I’ve just did.

 I choked my cousin.

Even if she insulted Bella, I could’ve, should’ve done something else. Maybe just told her to get out of the goddamn house or I should’ve just left the house myself.

Fuck!

I held her forearm and tried to help her “Tanya, I’m so so-“

She flinched away from me. “Do. Not. Touch. Me” She hissed at me as she got up and took off running out of the house.

I kept my gaze down on the floor which was covered with tiny pieces of glass by now. I couldn’t look anyone in the eye.

I felt the shame swallowing me where I was standing.

“Edward…” Dad whispered but I couldn’t hear his voice right now. It didn’t help at all with the shame and guilt. They didn’t raise me to be a monster like this. They didn’t raise me to choke women. They Did. Not. raise me to hurt someone, anyone.

Before he could finish his sentence I was out of the house, running as fast as I could away from everyone. And the adrenaline was still swimming in my veins from what just happened back in the house.

What the hell did I do?

Even if I was stressed, pissed even I was fucking dying I should not have acted that way. I shouldn’t have done that.

After an hour and a half when I couldn’t breathe anymore from the running, I stopped. And just then I realized that I was running on a fucking island that I know a goddamn nothing about and addition to all of that shit I didn’t have my phone.

Aaaannd It was dark as shit. I could barely see anything.

I didn’t know which direction I came from. I was surrounded by trees and they all looked the same. Of course they all looked the same. It’s a damn forest.

I growled loudly and without thinking I hit a tree that was inches away from me. I screamed in agony as I remembered that my fucking hand was already bleeding from breaking the stupid glassy wall.

About ten men appeared out of thin air with guns. I sighed in relief. I forgot that the island was surrounded with William’s men.

“Your highness, are you okay?” A man asked behind a mask. They all had masks on their faces which seemed weird because when William called them before -by clapping his hands- they weren’t wearing any masks.

“Yeah, I lost my way back home. Do you know where is it?” I asked.

I watched as his skin on the both sides of his eyes –the only visible thing from his face- wrinkled a little, like he was smiling or grinning maybe.

“Yes Sir. I do” He said and I could hear the smile in his voice. I don’t know why but I felt like the guy was thinking about something else when he said it. Like what he said had double meanings.
