My Happy Ending

Chapter 25

We took a cab and were near the house.

Edward seemed to notice my guilt because he said " Bella baby please stop blaming yourself. I can see guilt and sadness in your eyes and it hurts me"

I kissed him. He kissed me back softly and gently. His kiss removed all the guilt and sadness and whatever other emotions I was feeling. All I could feel now is Edward. We stopped because the driver faked coughing. I blushed. Edward laughed "My Tinkerbella" I blushed deeper.

"Is that why you didnt react when Tanya was.. in my room.. you knew nothing was going to happen?" He asked after awhile

I nodded "When someone I love is about to get hurt or hurt me I feel pain. I didnt feel any pain thats why I knew you wont do anything that might hurt my feelings. It didnt work only one time when Jake got hurt when I was seven. I think maybe because his life wont be connected to mine from that day. I dont feel it when Im sleeping either. I felt it when I was running in the forest. I knew something really bad was going to happen. Even after watching the visions I didnt stop and chan-"

Edward cut me off "what visions?"

"When something really really bad is about to happen. I feel unbearable pain for a couple of minutes and when my heart beat slower than normal and its about to stop from the pain. I lose the sense of feeling and I see visions in slow motions about what is about to happen. If I am the one that is getting hurt I feel the pain in the vision but its twice the pain I will feel in reality."

I saw a tear falling from his beautiful silver eye. I whipped it. "Edward I have lived like this for seventeen years now. I got used to it." He took my hand in his and squeezed it gently. "There must be a way to stop the pain. Please tell me how to do it. I will do anything to stop it"

I looked at the road. "I know you will."

"Then tell me what to do"

"Theres nothing you can do. Im the damned angel. This curse will live with me till death"

He clenched his fist and pressed his lips tight.

"Here turn left and stop by the white gate" i told the driver. The driver did as he was told. i gave the driver some money and I got out of the cab to open the gate but not before helping Edward out of the cab and he complaining saying he was fine. We knocked on the door since we didnt have the keys. Kate opened the door.

"guys where have you been? we were so worried" She asked.

I was going to answer her when Jake came running to us and said " Where the hell ha-" He poked Edwards shoulder with the back of his hand. It wasnt rough but it was enough to get Edward on one knee and shout "JAKE YOU ASSHOLE" then he screamed. I kneed beside him

"I just poked you Edward man up" All the family was around us because Edwards screams were pretty loud.

"Well sorry Jake because Im not so manning up but I was SHOT with a FUCKING BULLET in my SHOULDER" Edward snapped and leaned into the doorway.

"What?!" All the family shouted at the same time. Edward sighed. "Im fine but I have to rest for a couple of days."

"What the hell happened? And why didnt you call us?" Emmett asked

"Two thieves and they stole everything we had" I looked at Jake and he was glaring at me.

"Did you go to the hospital?" Carlisle asked panicked. Edward nodded.

"Bella can I talk with you for a minute" Jake asked still glaring at me.

"No!" I hugged Edward tighter and started sobbing.
