My Happy Ending

Chapter 19

Edward went to sit in the living room until we finish.

When we finished I went to see him sitting on a chair opposite to the couch and he was staring at Bella with his elbows on his knees and his chin on his hands. He ran his hand through his hair. My son only does that when hes nervous. But why would he be nervous.

"Honey?" I put my hand on his shoulder.

"Hmm?" He asked.

"Come" I took him to Carlisles study. I closed the door and we sat opposite to each other in front of Carlisle chair.

Edward POV.

I sat opposite to Esme in Carlisles study.

"Honey I know theres something and its making you nervous. whats wrong?" She asked.

Dammit am I so obvious?

"Um its Bella"

"What about her?"

"Theres two things. 1st Jake is staying for two weeks. What after that? We cant separate them after they finally found each other."

" I actually talked with Carlisle about that. Since you are with her then she cant go to Alaska and leaves you so we thought about offering Jake a place her. After asking Carmen and Eleazer of course"

I nodded. "Whats the second thing?" Esme asked.

I looked straight in her eyes and after a couple of minutes I said. "I. Want. To. Marry. Her"

Esme gasped and hugged me so tight. I could her hear sobbing. If Esme reacted that way how will Bella react?

"OMG Edward Im so happy for you. This is the best news I have ever heard" she kissed my head.

"Esme I dont think shes ready for this. I-I.. I just dont know what to do"

"Why do you think that shes not ready?"

"Mom Shes 17 soon-to-be 18. Girls her age dont get married. I just want to make her happy. I want her to be mine in every possible way. I love her so much. I cant imagine life without her. I know she loves me too but I dont know if shes ready yet."

"Have you..Umm?" Esme started rubbing the back of her neck with her hand. "Have you.. Umm.. you know"

"Esme what are you talking about?" I asked her confused.

"Have you slept with Bella?"

"Esme we sleep every night together, you know that"

"I didnt mean it that way" Oh Shit no Im so not having this talk with Esme. No theres no way.

"No no no no. No Esme Im so not having this talk."

"Edward you have to know its embarrassing for me and as it is for you. I already had it with Jasper Alice Emmett and Rosalie. As a mother I have to make sure your.."

"Esme Im a virgin. Okay? and I like it that way. So dont worry about it"

Esme looked relieved. "Thank you. I cant believe I was having this talk for the fifth time"

I laughed. "Why doesnt Carlisle talk with the boys about it?" I asked

"He tried but you know when you try to talk to Emmett about something like that. I did my best to make him listen to me for five minutes without interrupting." I chuckled picturing Emmett have this talk with Esme.

"So back to Bella.. When will you propose to her?"

"Mom Im not sure if i can"

"yes you can honey. You just have to believe more in yourself. Bella loves you and Im sure she would love to be your wife... Oh I cant believe my children and grown up and getting married"
