Riley's POV
"Riley! god dammit! Ri please" Lukas cried "Riley why would you do this to me?" he punches the water coming towards them "Why are you doing this to me?! huh?! Why?! Wake up please!"
"She's going to be fine, please calm down." her mom yells through her tears
"She's NOT FINE!" Lukas screams while digging his hands in the cool sand "SHE'S MY BEST FRIEND MOM! Do you know what it's like to lose your best friend? because I'm about to-"
"Never say that again you hear me?!" her dad yells "She's FINE."
The waves crash against the shore near my ear I can hear every word they're saying. I'm trying with all my strength to open my eyes to show them I'm alive and fine but it just won't work! I don't even remember what happened it was all just a blur. My Dad picks me up and carries me to the ambulance. 'I'm fine!' i want to scream 'take me home!' but all the muscles in my body are sleeping and won't wake up.
My mom silently cries as they drag me into the hospital Emergency Room. They hook me up to a bunch of machines I don't know the names of. A mask is put over my face, i start... too feel a little... sleepy...
I 'wake up' with Ellie holding my cold stiff hand. I hear her sniffing, trying to hold in her tears. "God, please" she mumbles silently to the crisp air "Make Riley wake up, she's a wonderful gift to the world-" i feel myself tearing up "please shes so young-" a tear slowly rolls down my cheek "I'll do anything, anything-" my tear drop splashes onto her hand. Ellie quickly opens her eyes.
"Riley?" she asks, maybe a little too loudly. "Riley please, show me a sign!"
I try and use all my energy to show something, move something, make a noise, something, anything! I lightly squeeze her hand. A smile is spread across Ellie's face like sunshine on a rainy day. "Lukas, Lukas, come quick!"
Lukas runs to the door way along with my mom, dad, and that cute boy that lives next door.
"What happened?" Lukas asks
"She squeezed my hand when I asked her to show me a sign she's going to be fine!" she exclaims
everyone hugs each other wile the cute boy stands there awkwardly nodding his head and rocking back and forth. Why is he here? Lukas probably made him come. Or maybe he wanted to come?
I feel the boy staring at me and a smile appears on his face. What if he thinks I'm cute? I have to tell El-... oh wait I can't move. Holy shit he's cute. The boy silently walks out of the room, still with that beautiful grin on his face.
