It was cold and dark in the lonely hospital room, everyone was gone. I couldn't sleep, I was just thinking about that boy, why did he come? I only spoke with him a few times before.
One time when I came home from school, Lukas and him were playing Halo. I couldn't help but plop on the couch next to them and snatch the controller from Lukas's sweaty hands. I played a few rounds against the boy. UGH what's his name?! and as you can guess I kicked his ass in Halo. I remembered after I won he shook my hand, trembling but firm. We only exchanged a few words, and I don't exactly remember what they were, I was too busy staring at his perfect complexion. His soft dark hair, his beautiful brown and green eyes, and that one freckle that rests right below his lips. SHIT Riley stop, he barley even knows you, you don't even remember his name.
Suddenly the door swung open, letting in a gust of cold air in. Four figures appear in front of me. There was Shawn, a tall boy with dark hair, big lips, and kind eyes. His fingers were intertwined with Ellie's, and she was leaning her head against his shoulder. Next to them was my good friend Hazel, she is a beautiful skinny girl with long legs, straight brown hair, and rosey cheeks. Hazel and I have known each other since third grade and she is about the most bad ass person I know. Then there was the second hottest guy in my school, Carl. He has long dark hair that reaches his ears and bright blue eyes that match mine. He has about a million freckles and the cutest little nose. He has been Hazel's life time crush for as long as i can remember, but he hasn't shown a like for her yet, or anyone for that matter.
They didn't move for a while, just frozen by the doorway. The first one to show signs of living was Hazel, she ran to my bed and gave me a tight squeeze. After that both the boys stood by my feet and stared 'I'm not a fucking zoo animal' I wanted to scream but yet again, I can't move.
About ten minutes passed and they were gone. back to being lonely I guess.
