He nodded his head and turned toward Lukas, smirking.
"What the fuck has gotten into you, Riley?" Lukas looks at me like he's never seen me in his life
"Confidence." I say, as I weave my fingers with the boys.
His hands were warm and soft, it felt like our hands fit perfectly together like puzzle piece. We slowly walk over to the closet and the door shuts behind us. I sit down with my back against the wall and cross my legs. The boy sits on the opposite side of the closet, but our knees are still touching.
"Can I ask you something?" I whisper.
"Always." He whispers back in a low calm voice.
"I can't exactly remember what your name is..." My face turns red like a tomato, I try to hide it even though he can't see me.
"That makes me feel loved," he says acting hurt. "Calum." He says with a chuckle. "Calum Hoodly."
I've never herd someone with the name of Calum before, I like it.
I smile even though he can't see me. I'm thinking of what to say to kill the silence. I don't want to make out with this kid or anything, I just want to get closer, get to know each other better. But we can do that outside of the closet. Something special has to happen. With out warning he grabs my hand and intertwines it with his, I don't pull away even though it frightens me. After what seems like years of trying to build up the courage, I move closer to him.
I crawl on my hands and knees and plop down beside him and rest my head on his shoulder. We don't move, we don't speak, we just listen to each other breath. It's a comfortable kind of silence.
The timer goes off and startles me. Before they could open the closet door, Calum wraps one of his arms around me and gives me a cute little side hug.
I see the light shining through the crack of the door, it's getting bigger and I close my eyes.
"Something go on here?" Carl says with a smirk.
"Nope," Calum says "but I hope all y'all know I'm not moving." He smiles and looks down at me.
"This wasn't what I was hoping would happen." Lukas mumbles. Right as he says that I tug on his sleeve so he falls on top of me.
"Ri, what are you-"
"Cuddling youuuuu." I say in a baby voice and squeeze him.
Lukas stares at me with a bored look on his face and I prop myself up and smooch him on the cheek.
"Riley sto-"
"I love you bruver!" I say cutting him off.
Ellie and Hazel look at me,laugh, and climb on top of Lukas. Soon it was a giant dog pile with me on the bottom.
"I can't breath!" I half yell/laugh "Get off me crusty bitches, you weigh a million pounds!"
