The Teacher
A bed in the school clinic, Red lay asleep and unconscious. In the school garden, the scared expression of Lorelei’s petrified standing body, caught the teachers’ attention. All of them in one morning gathered and talked about the incident on the night of Halloween. Denguard heard of what happened. The Court of Spell Casters knew as well. In Abalour Academy’s conference room, Headmaster Olfin has been thinking deeply. The other teachers were mumbling to each other, until he then said,
“What happened to Ms. Gavron? Why was she petrified?” He then looked onto one of the teachers. “You, Professor Mandragora, you were there when the children were unconscious, do you know anything?”
“I am sad to say this dear Headmaster but, when I saw Countess Oakwood she’s out cold, and Viscountess Gavron solidified.” replied Professor Mandragora.
Headmaster Radim then stood and spoke. “Professor Olfin, I have a theory which has not been mentioned for centuries here in the academy.”
“Tell us right away, Radim. We wish to know.” requested Headmaster Olfin. Headmaster Radim, then said,
“A belief and an important part in magic, the rise of the lunar moon, it could be the one that caused Red’s unconsciousness and Lorelei to be petrified.”
“The rise of the lunar moon, this is the key to unlock strongly sealed raw magic.” Headmaster Olfin said.
“Indeed professor! According to the books, our ascendants acquired stronger power because of the lunar moon.” Headmaster Radim discussed.
“And it’s also mentioned that for a year, every phase of the moon would have a powerful lunar light. If I’m right, this is the power of the void. Strong spells will be more dangerous. That might be the reason why Lorelei was petrified; last night was the first lunar full moon of the year.” Headmaster Olfin said.
“The spell used on her is full of vigor and dominance but who possibly did this?” Headmistress Fire wondered.
“Possibly, the girl who possessed potent energies of magic in her veins, she must be the one who petrified Lorelei.” Headmaster Radim assumed.
“Are you saying that Red is the one who could have done all of these?” Professor Mandragora angrily ridiculed.
Headmistress Fire then complained. “How can you say that it’s her who petrified the viscountess? It can’t be her. Professor Mandragora found her unconscious in the ground, and besides, she has not undergone training for magic.”
“Who were there when both of them were in danger? Only Red and Lorelei were present in that very hour.” Headmaster Radim said.
“Well, there’s a choice. If Red has strong magic and it was lunar moon in that time, she could have done it or either Lorelei has tried to petrify Red and she was struck by her own spell if Red tried to protect herself with a mirror.” a teacher said.
“It could be.” all of the professors together said.
“But to be sure, there’s only one thing to do. We need the help of our friend from Yzalord.” Headmaster Olfin said.
So, they immediately went to the school’s Post Office and asked their mailman to have their letter sent for the yzalordean teacher. Weeks later, their letter reached Yzalord. The teachers of Abalour Academy grew impatient. It was given to an yzalordean mailman. The letter is about to mailed. In the School City, where the professor’s house is located, it was inserted below his door. The mailman then knocked at an early time in the morning. The teacher wondered. It is still the fresh sun shining. So he immediately went to the door to see who it is. But, an azure envelope caught his attention. It was erased in his mind, the person who knocked on his door. He took it and went to his office upstairs. The teacher opened the envelope and read the message inside. It said;
