I turned the shower on again, and let the water run down my hair, washing out the shampoo. When I was done, I grabbed the conditioner. I had to comb my hair while it was wet, so I chose to do it while I was washing out the conditioner. It was a lot easier that way. My curls aren't real, but to keep them from fading away too quickly, my hairdresser said I have to comb it while it's still wet.
I then opened the shower doors and stepped out. I grabbed my towel from the ground and started drying myself. After that I put my robe back on and wrapped the towel around my hair to keep it from getting my robe wet. I then went back to my room.
I had planned my outft for the first day of school weeks ago, and I only had to grab it from my closet. A cute top with a peace sign on it, and a very dark blue, almost black jacket with small white stars everyhere. And a pair of black shorts. It didn't take me long to put it on either.
I usually spend about 10 minutes getting dressed. Not because I'm slow, but because I just simply want to go back to bed. But not today. Today is a big day, with new possibilities. And I want to make the best of it.
Next up was my makeup. Just the usual. Black mascara and eyeliner, a bit of a goldish eyeshadow and that's pretty much it. Didn't take me long either, as I don't use an hour on my makeup like a lot of girls seem to do. And perfume. It's important not to smell bad.
The rest of the house seemed to have come to life too, and my stepfather was already downstairs making breakfast. I had packed my bag yesterday, so I just headed down stairs and grabbed a piece of bread my stepfather had prepared for me.
"Ready for the first day at your new school?" he asked me as he prepared another couple of sandwiches.
"I guess.." I sat down by the breakfast table.
"Are you meeting Danielle at the bus station?" he asked again, trying to make conversation.
"Probably" I said and took another bite of my sandwich.
"Probably?" he looked at me with a hint of concern.
"Yeah, she doesn't have a phone at the moment, so I have no way of contacting her. I'm just counting on that I'll find her when I get there" I finished my sandwich and walked back out of the room.
Soon, I was on my way to the bus station. I made sure to have music in my ears all the way to the station. Wake me up by Avicii was playing on replay. It was one of my favorite songs at the moment. That, and a lot of one direction songs. Yes, I'm a fangirl. But right now, the only song I wanted to listen to, was this one.
I got there just in time, but I couldn't see my friend Danielle anywhere. So I just hurried over to the bus, payed the bus driver and sat down in one of the seats.
I had expected the bus to be crowded, but it was just me and two others. By the time the bus left the station, Danielle hadn't showed up. Was she sick on the first day of school? Was she too late? I couldn't care less. She wasn't a real friend of mine, but one of the only two people I knew from my new school.
I picked my white I phone out of my pocket and started typing a message for Joanna, the second person I knew. We agreed on meeting when we got there.
It took the bus approximately ten minutes to get to my school. We were supposed to meet in the gymnasium, and as I got there, I spotted Danielle in the crowd.
"Why didn't you take the bus?" she already sounded like she was accusing me.
"I did.." was all I cared to say.
"There must have been two buses then" she said and started looking around, probably checking out the boys.
"Probably" I replied and followed her gaze. "What are you looking at?" I asked and tried to figure out which boy she had her eyes on this time.
"Have you seen that guy?! I don't think I've seen such a hot guy in real life, like EVER!" she said and pointed out a tall dark haired tan boy. Exactly her type. But she would never ever have a chance with him. I knew that, all though I didn't tell her. Not my type though, definitely not. With only a glance, I knew he was a player.
That's when I noticed one of the guys he was talking too. He was wearing a purplish T-shirt, a little baggy pants and a snapback. His light brown, maybe dirty blonde wavy hair was sticking out of the sides, by his ears. And he was looking RIGHT at me. And I froze. Butterflies were swarming inside my tummy, making me swallow.
"I call DIBS!" Joanna shouted as she practically stormed into us.
"Unfair!" Danielle pouted and sent the tan guy a furtive glance. And then the doors to the gymnasium opened and everyone walked inside.
