I took a last look over my shoulder to see Luke leaning against the three, thundering his fists into the three trunk repeatedly, in frustration. Did I upset him that badly? What just happened? He actually let me take control? And did my sudden outbreak actually hurt him? I was starting to wonder if he actually did care for me...

"You have some serious explaining to do" Dani panted, as she struggled to keep up with me. I just kept jogging, speeding up a little.

"Hey! Wait up!" Dani's endurance was clearly failing. I was still feeling shaky from the kiss, and black dots were starting to form in my vision. I stopped, panting heavily and leaned down, putting my weight on my legs.

"You can't keep it from me forever" Dani pestered.

"I can try". She let out a groan in resentment. "It's not like you care anyway" I feuded, starting to jog again. Her face had a disgraced look as she started jogging after me.

"All you do is ignore me, I'm sick of you!" I spat, taking the speed up a few notches, enjoying the way she battled to keep up with me. She apparently felt threatened. I was the only friend she had in our class, and without me, she would be powerless. I wouldn't have anyone either but I was willing to take that risk.

After that, we didn't speak a word to each other. She needed to hear the truth, if she wanted to or not. And I decided that it was about time. I wouldn't let her treat me like this anymore. Most of all, I just wanted to change schools. I wanted to go to Evelyn's school. Not being able to see her every day was breaking me. But I was determined to get through this. Either with Dani or not, the choice is hers. We've had our ups and downs and.. Let's just say we fight a lot. But honestly, she's a bitch. But this time I had had enough of her.

Back in the wardrobe, I took a quick shower, put my clothes back on, and left.

Next up was lunch, and I had no one to sit with. Joanna was simply just a copy of Dani. And there was no way I was sitting with Luke and Drake. I picked a table that wasn't too packed, and sat down by my own. It didn't take long before someone patted on my shoulder.

"Come sit with us" Scarlet pleaded, attempting to haul me with her. I guess that's okay. But by us, she didn't mean a bunch of preppy girly girls, but the guys. Yeah you know who. I perched myself on the chair next to Scarlet, facing Luke. He acted like nothing ever happened, sending me a flirtatious wink. In the woods, he gave me the impression that he was hurt. But that's just Luke, impossible to fully understand.

Something nudged my foot under the table. It didn't take me long to realize what or who that was. Luke stroked his foot along my leg, caressing it. I moved my feet out of his reach, and eventually he gave up.

My packed lunch was dull as usual. A thin piece of dry bread with insipid ham on it, and nothing to drink. I had been in a hurry this morning, and I just grabbed the lunch my parents had prepared for me and left, with Luke.

"Wanna change lunch packs?" he must have noticed the look on my face. What was it with him and feeding me?

"No, I'll just go buy something.." I mumbled and stood up. I walked over to the food section and grabbed a vanilla yogurt.

As I was standing in line to pay, I fished my wallet out of my bag and opened it to retrieve a few coins. I gulped at the sight. My wallet was empty. I had been so stressed this morning, I completely forgot.

I was just about to go out of line and put the yogurt back as someone called my name. "Did you run out of money?" I was startled.  The unfamiliar boy who was standing behind me in the line did just talk to me? And he knew my name?

"Do I know you?" I asked, tilting my head just a little.

"I'm Dominic, Joanna's friend?" he smiled, and reached his hand out to me. I grabbed it and shook it politely. "I was gonna offer to borrow you some money" he suggested, handing it to me.

"Oh, that's not necessary".

"I insist, you don't even have to pay me back" he flattered with a pleading grin.

"Okay! But I'm paying you back" I finally accepted his offer.

"Alright, but I'm going to need your number though. You know, so I'm able to contact you?" he implored, reaching his open hand to me. I sent him a humble smile as I placed my phone in his grasp, and waited for him to add himself to my contacts.

"There you go, Dominic Moriarty" he grinned widely and gave it back to me.

"Kids! You're holding up the line!" the cashier nagged, ending our conversation.

"Do you have anyone to sit with?" Dominic's voice struck me. I had to think about it for a few seconds before I replied.

"No I don't actually" I lied throwing a glance at Luke's table. He was busily chattering with one of his friends. The others probably hadn't even noticed that I was gone.

Dominic guided me to his table, with a few of his friends. He started by introducing me and soon, they went back to their conversations. I didn't know any of these people, and I really had no idea what to say to them.

"Joanna told me about you and Danielle" Dominic made an attempt to talk to me.

"What did she say?" I said before peering over at Luke's table. His chair was empty. Where did he go?

"Well, Joanna said Danielle was quite a catch , but I think otherwise" I glanced out of the window and spotted Luke walking towards the smoking area. Oh not that! "If you know what I mean?" Dominic continued, as he noticed that I wasn't listening.

"Oh yeah. That's flattering, but there's something I've got to do. It was nice meeting you, I'll see you around" I said as I got up from the chair, and hurried out of the canteen.
