"Let's walk to class together" Joanna added as the awkward silence started to grow.
"I'll be over there" I started, but someone grabbed my wrist a bit harshly, and pulled me closer to him.
"Oh no you don't love" Lucas lips was surprisingly close to my left ear as he whispered the somewhat intimidating words. His intoxicating smell paralyzed me, as his small puffs of breath touched my cheek. None of the others had taken notice of his actions, so I just kept my mouth shut and sent Dani a helpless look. She didn't even see us.
When we got to class Joanna left us to get to her own class, and I hurried inside to take a seat beside Danielle.
"Not too quickly" his raspy voice hit me like a train. And he pulled me closer giving me goose bumps. "You want to sit with me, don't you?" I didn't feel like he left me much of a choice, and I unwillingly let him lead me to the seat next to him.
Danielle walked in, sending me a baffled look before sitting down in the front alone. She kept giving me stares across the class room, probably wondering why I was sitting next to this guy.
"You may call me Luke" he winked and jerked himself a bit closer to me.
"Whatever" I muttered, trying to ignore him.
"Don't you ignore me" he quietly snarled and I could feel his hands touching my knee searching for my thigh. I pulled my legs together and shot him a violated look. His mouth formed into a sassy grin before he turned away again.
When the schoolbell rang I immediately shot up and rushed over to Danielle. I could feel his gaze even though I weren't looking at him.
"I see you met someone?" she said jokingly and put her books in her bag in a sluggish manner.
"Can we please just get out of here?" I asked and carefully peeked over my shoulder, to find out that he had left the classroom. I felt a wave of relief flush through me.
"I heard you're coming with us after school?" Dani had finally finished packing her bags, and stood up just looking at her wallet which was lying at the table.
"I'm not so sure about that" I was interrupted.
"Carry my wallet will you?" she referred to the wallet, hardly caring about what I just said.
"I'm not your slave!" I growled. She just rolled her eyes and grabbed the wallet, then pushed past me with a sort of superior look on her face.
I managed to keep a distance from Luke for a couple of terms after that. But when it was lunch time, me and Dani were sitting by one of the tables in the canteen as he came in through the doors and sat down on our table, a few chairs away. I struggled to look anywhere but at him. And to my dismay, he noticed it. He grinned, with dimples forming in his cheeks.
Dani was just sitting there on her laptop, completely ignoring everything happening around her. After a while, Luke got up and walked out of the canteen with relaxed steps. It affected my curiosity.
"I'm gonna go to the bathroom" I murmured but Dani didn't reply, like always.
As I walked out of the doors, I had already lost track of him. I was just about to walk down the stairs when I heard a low raspy laughter I had learned to recognize. I turned to see him leaned against the wall on the opposite side of the hall.
"Come" the smile faded from his face, giving me an apprehensive feeling. But I obeyed. He was right in front of me, and his scent filled my senses.
"Come closer" his words nearly enthralled me and when he grasped for my wrist, I wasn't prepared. He pinned me against the wall, pushing himself into my hips. One of his hands had a hold of mine and forced them behind my back while the other one was caressing my hip. I flinched at his touch, and tried to free my arms, but as a result, he only took a harder grip on them. A defenseless whimper escaped my lips, but it only made him form a deep chuckle.
"Let go of me" I warned and turned my head to the side to avoid his gaze.
"Make me" I could feel his nails bury themselves in my skin. "Penny wanna make a run for it?" he whispered. His lips were only centimeters away from my ear. I wanted to scream, but I didn't have the courage.
Footsteps were getting closer. "Pure luck" he huffed and hustled me away as a person walked by. I stumbled down the stairs and paved my way back to Danielle.
"You haven't said anything since you got back from the bath room" Dani finally bothered to speak.
"Could we please go now?" I didn't look at her.
"What's with you today?" she put her laptop back in her bag.
"I need to go first". We both got up and exited the canteen. While waiting for Dani to be done, I studied my self in the mirror. My fingers gently stroked my wrist, which was still a bit sore.
"You and Lucas would be kind of cute together you know" Dani suddenly said as she came out of the toilet stall. I snorted and put my hands behind my back, hiding my wounded wrists. "Maybe we could make tonight into a double date" after washing her hands, she started fixing her hair and taking an overlook of her makeup.
"Not a chance, besides Drake already has a girlfriend".
"That's never going to last, Scarlet fiddles around with multiple boys" Dani said with a touch of satisfaction. "Drake doesn't know yet though. Ready to go?" she said directing to the door.
As we got out I spotted him again, walking towards us with Drake and the rest of the gang behind him. I quickened my pace but for no good. He blocked my way, placing one of his hands on my hipbone. Luckily for me he didn't have a very good grasp of me this time and I pushed him away hurrying towards the door, bumping into Drake on my way.
As I got out in the school yard someone tugged on my shoulder. I instantly turned around and lifted my right arm as a warning.
"Woah!" Dani took a step away from me.
"Sorry, I didn't know it was you.." I said and cautiously watched the door to the building, just waiting for Luke to walk out of it, but he didn't.
"What was that about?" she said, more curious than caring.
"Nothing" I said as I turned away from her and started walking, not really knowing where...
