I was so lost in Luke's arms I didn't even sense the footsteps that were nearing us. I think Luke did, but he simply didn't give a fuck, as usual.

"Lucas Legrand" Luke ended the kissing, but his face stayed close to mine. His eyes were opened, and he just stood there for another couple of seconds before turning around to face the intruder.

"What are you two doing out here? Aren't you supposed to be in class?" Hunter asked. Our gym teacher.

"We've been excused" Luke sarcastically chortled before turning his body to me again.

"Yeah, I might have to destroy your moment here. Lucas, the principal has requested to speak with you. I'll walk Penny back to class" Hunter walked over to us and put one of his hands on my shoulder. "Are we clear?" he asked, with his head lowered a bit.

Hunter and Luke was on the same eye level, but Hunter was bigger and more muscular than Luke, but he was still slim, and quite yummy, excuse my choice of words there.

Luke bit his lip in repugnance, before turning away from us with a groan, and started stomping in the direction of the school.

"What are you kids doing out here?".

"Pretty much what it looks like" I let out a small giggle.

Hunter started walking, signaling for me to follow him. "Lucas Legrand huh? Would you take it wrongly if I asked you why?" he asked, followed by a series of quiet chuckles.

I laughed inwardly. "No, I get why you ask. We're not really the.." I didn't know what word would suite our relationship. "..Perfect match" I continued and tried to keep up with him.

"What do you see him in anyway?" he asked and looked at me with an amiably gentle smile. "Sorry if I'm being nosy here, but I like to keep up with the latest news with you students. Helps me not to think about how old I'm getting".

"Hey, you're not that old. How old are you anyway?" I looked narrowly at him for a while. "Oh sorry, it's none of my business" I giggled.

"Oh that's OK, I'm messing in your business, you have all the right to mess in mine. I'm twenty three by the way. And you never answered my question?" he batted my shoulder playfully. It didn't occur to me that his behavior was getting strangely chummy for a teacher.

"Wow, I thought you were.. At least twenty eight or something. No offense" I snickered. "And about Luke.. It's so complicated I don't even know" I said in a low, continuous tone.

The school appeared for us at the end of the threeline, and soon we were back on the school grounds.

"I hope you can find your way back to class now Penelope, I have a class in only five minutes, and I'm gonna be late if I stay here and chat with you. And you're already late, so.. Not much to do about that" he grinned widely at me.

"No worries" I gave him a smile with a little lack of vividness. "I'll see you around then, mr.. Ehrrmm" I uttered incoherently.

"Call me Hunter" he gave me a wink before turning around, jogging towards the gymnasium.

A wave of embarrassment swept over me as I walked back into the class room. For some reason, the teacher acted like normal. Maybe too normal. But my class mates stared me down, giving me an awkward feeling.

It seems like the students had reordered themselves, as my previous seat was now taken, so I sat down on the only free spot, in between Dominic and some random guy. There was only fifteen minutes left of the period, but every minute felt like a millennium. My eyes were fixed at the clock that hung above the blackboard the entire time. Even Dominic's tapping on my shoulder couldn't rip me out of my trance. He must have thought I ignored him.
