Ch.2: You Know Elaine Too?

  "How do you know my real name?!" King yelled.
My breathing calmed down and I stood up, staring at the ground with my hair hiding my eyes.
"Well you see, grizzly sin of sloth, she told me so much about you." I snickered, "I figured we'd be pretty good friends in the future. I knew you before I even knew you. I had forgotten for a while, but thanks to your comrades here, I remembered who you really are and what I need to do." I raised my hand and my sword floated into my hand.
They all tensed and I looked up at them seriously.
"Harlequin, I need to beat your ass really quick. Sorry."
"Excuse me?" He asked.
"It doesn't matter why. I'm just warning you. No need to interfere. Please stay out of this. This is for her sake." I motioned my hand and all of them except King was pinned to a tree with my water seal magic.
They struggled to get out and I smirked.
"That's called Trap. Again, cliché. But you can't get out of it until I say you can." I turned to King, "Get up."
He stood up slowly and got into a fighting position, glaring at me. I smirked and crossed my arms. I shook my head in disappointment then looked at him.
"So here's the thing, King... WHY DID YOU HAVE TO ABANDON HER?!" I shot my sword at him.
His eyes widened and he moved out of the way. He levitated and swung his arm towards me, making his spear cross paths with my sword. I tsk.
"Same pattern? Just stop already! Give me something new already!" I smirked.
"Chastiefol! First form! Bumblebee!" He yelled.
The spear started moving at a high speed in every direction.
"Now that's more like it! Keep it coming! You won't win this way!" I yelled as I blocked every attack easily.
"Huh... She sounds kinda like you, Ban." Meliodas said.
"Well..." Ban smirked, shrugging.
"Increase." He snapped.
His spear became knives again they started lighting on fire. Oh. So that's how you wanna play it. Easy. I slowly squeezed my hand shut in their direction and the knives all became covered in a layer of ice. King's eyes widened.
"Frostbite." I said.
I pushed all the knives to land far away and I looked at King. His form seemed to change into a chubby guy with a sweaty face. I raised an eyebrow. I opened my mouth, speechless at what I was seeing.
"Does... Does this happen often?" I looked at the others, pointing to King's unusually random form.
"Yeah."
"Pretty much."
"Happens a lot"
They all said at different times.
"Guys!" King said with a deeper voice.
I giggled. He looked at me in surprise. It was kinda cute. I almost smiled but I shook my head. I'm supposed to be mad at him and I'm thinking about how adorable that was. I scowled. Guess I have to use her name now.
"You left her for so long." I said, seriously.
"Left who?!"
I snickered and shook my head.
"You don't even know who I'm talking about, do you? That's a shame. I thought you would've remembered who you've abandoned." I stood up and looked away from him with my head low.
"What are you talking about?! Who's her?!" He yelled.
I looked at the sky and smiled a bit at the memory of her.
"She was my best friend. She meant the world to me, just as everybody else who I encountered and became friends with." I looked at him, "The Holy Saint guarding the fountain of youth, your sister, Elaine." I stared at him.
Ban started struggling even more then.
"HOW DO YOU KNOW HER?!" He yelled.
I blinked at him.
"You knew her too?"
"Yes..." He looked at me with a look that only I knew the answer to.
I shook my head then balled my fists.
"I told you. She was my best friend." I stared at him, expressionless.
"So you know that she's..." King changed forms.
"Of course I know she's dead! I'm not stupid! I tried to go back to visit her, but when I arrived I saw the forest burned! I flew to the tree and saw her dead body just lying there... I couldn't take it! Why didn't you come back sooner?!" I yelled at King.
"I... I couldn't." He looked down in shame.
I just stared at him, not even wanting to talk to him anymore. Just as I felt something was off, the ground shook and people in the village next to us screamed in horror. I turned around and my eyes widened in shock.
"Damnit..." I mumbled.
"What the hell is that?! Did you do that?!" Ban asked.
"No... At least I don't think so..."
I flicked my hand towards the others and their seals were released. They all looked at me in shock.
"Get the townspeople out of here quickly." I stared at the huge wave that was starting to grow higher than the buildings.
"What? You want to save them yet you just tried to kill us?" Meliodas asked.
"I told you! I wasn't trying to kill you!" I sighed, "Just save them and I'll explain to you after."
"But-"
"I said now!" I stormed off, flying towards the huge wave.
I stopped in front of the wave and closed my eyes. I lifted my arms above my head then clenched my left fist tight. The wave stopped in place but you could still hear the water moving. With my right hand, I created a barrier over the buildings. I struggled keeping both going. It started getting hard to breathe normally. I closed one eye as I started to sweat. After a few minutes, I looked down at the sins to see if everyone was gone. I saw King lead a woman and her child out of the village, he looked up at me once they were out.
"They're all out!" He yelled to me, giving me a thumbs up.
I nodded then glared at the humongous body of water. I let the barrier go so that both of my hands were working on the wave. I gritted my teeth as I pushed my hands up. The water shot into the air and I slammed my hands together.
"Condensation!" I screamed, making a big rain cloud appear over me.
Immediately, the wave started ascending into the cloud as it did in the water cycle. Once there was barely any water left of the wave, I snapped. The rest of the water became the air. I flicked my hand in a motion once it wasn't visible.
"Precipitation."
A few seconds later, it started to rain. My chest started to hurt as I stared in front of me. Cheers came from below me, or at least I thought there was. The last I remembered was falling towards the ground fast and hitting the earth.
