Ch.6: Don't Give Away My Secrets!

  A/N: I based this one off the manga and a bit off the anime so again, sorry if its bad. I do not own nanatsu no taizai

I woke up, no sounds around me. I looked around and groaned. I was still in the river. I swam to the surface and popped my eyes out. I sighed in relief when I saw no one there. I got out and changed back into human form. I sighed then ran a hand through my hair, untangling it. I groaned and adjusted my spectacles. I stepped forward one step then speed ran all the way to the Boar Hat. I sat on the edge of the roof, examining my nails.
"Hey! There she is!" Ban shouted, pointing in my direction.
"Gemminia! Oh my goodness! I was so worried!" King hugged me tightly and wouldn't let me go.
"King, I can't breathe!" I grunted, getting a red face.
"Oh sorry... Where did you go?" He let go of me then looked at me.
"Yeah we were quite worried, Gem." Meliodas said then took a sip of his booze.
I floated down to Meliodas and sat on top of his head with crossed legs. I grabbed his cup and took a sip from it.
"Well you see, I went to heal my wounds from that thing. What happened when I left anyways? Is it gone?" I handed Meliodas back his cup.
He grabbed my arm and examined it, my chest close to his face. My face heated up immediately and I squealed, taking my arm back.
"Wow. Wherever you went, you healed pretty fast." Meliodas stated.
"Yeah..." I tittered.
"We beat him. He didn't have the ability to stay alive with the instability of demon blood he had in him." I heard Gowther say.
I whipped my head to him.
"Oh hello there, Gowther. Did you decide to join us?" I asked.
Something shocked me and I gasped with wide eyes.
"What the-"
"I see... Your memory is clouded. That's why..."
I looked at him with narrowed eyes.
"Excuse me?"
"Like I said, I feel like I've met you before. So I'm checking. It seems like someone took those memories away from you. Oddly, it's just of memories from fifteen to ten years ago that were taken."
"Isn't that around the time we were at Liones?" Diane asked.
"Yes... Gemminia, do you have any memories of the kingdom of Liones?" Meliodas asked, looking up at me.
I thought for a moment.
"Liones?" A random memory popped into my head that I didn't know.
A quick flash of me laughing with a guy who looked like Meliodas and a few others. I blinked, staring at the food on the table in front of me with a confused expression.
"I saw what you just witnessed." I heard Gowther speak.
I looked at him.
"You were laughing with a boy who looked like Meliodas, am I correct?"
I sighed and slumped my shoulders.
"I... I don't know... I don't have any memories of meeting Meliodas before a week ago... At least I don't think so."
"Hey maybe we should let her rest a bit before we start pressuring her with memories..." Elizabeth suggested.
I smiled softly at her. She smiled back at me.
"Everyoooone! Listen to this!" Ban hiccuped, grabbing Gowther, obviously drunk, "Apparently Gowther here could tell it was King by his body odor! That and his framework and tone."
"Body odor?" We all go up to King and sniff him.
"Mm, sugary!"
"Smells like a flower."
"That's the king of the fairies for you!"
"Something about it reminds me of the old days."
"It smells like a... distant memory..." I mumbled.
My eyes widen as a quick flash of King and me laughing as we flew through the air appeared. I gritted my teeth and looked to the side.
"S-stop it, guys! If you keep doing that, I'll get nervous and-" King got cut off by transforming.
We all sniffed him again.
"It suddenly smells rank."
"Stinks of sweat."
"P-probably because of my appearance..." King defended.
"Such a nostalgic smell."
"This also smells like a distant memory..." I muttered.
Another quick flash appeared and it showed the bigger form of King and me sitting next to each other. I was smiling and patting his head, apparently trying to cheer him up, while he wiped away some tears he had. I came back to reality to see King back to normal.
"No fair ganging up on me!" King stomped and threw his arms everywhere in the air.
"Did I do something wrong?" Gowther questioned.
"Hell yeah you did! Do something about this awkward situation!"
"Understood..." Gowther rose his hand and little lightning bolts shot into Ban's, Diane's, and my neck.
"Diane, you lie about your thirty foot height, saying it is twenty nine feet."
Diane squeaked.
"On the subject of your weight-"
He got cut off because Diane started smashing him.
"Mean! Mean!! Stupid Gowther!"
"Hmm. I honestly don't think there's much difference between thirty and twenty nine." Meliodas pointed out.
"There is to a girl!" Elizabeth defended.
"That's true." I pointed to Elizabeth then stole Meliodas's cup, taking a sip.
"Ouch... As for you, Ban. Twelve years ago, you became completely inebriated while on duty to battle the vampire gang in Edinburgh." Gowther continued, still lying on the ground from Diane's freak out.
"Right, that time I got so drunk I didn't take part, right? I already said I was sorry for that." Ban admitted.
"After that you used 'physical hunt' to rob strength from King and Diane, then had a good laugh to yourself as you watched them struggling to fight."
Ban's eyes widened and he spat out the drink he had just started drinking.
"And after you did one hundred thousand push-ups with that stolen strength, you completely crashed out." Gowther finished.
"Hmm. I was wondering why I couldn't muster up any strength even though I was feeling fine." Diane realized.
"So that explains it." King said.
"That was twelve years ago, okay?" Ban hiccuped, "Don't get your panties in a twist."
Diane grabbed him, glaring, and squeezed him between her hands, making blood shatter everywhere. Ban popped out of her hand a second later with no injuries.
"Now we're the ones having it hard!"
"Got it." He turned to me, "Gemminia..." He started.
My eyes widened. By this point, he was standing up again.
"Hmm... It seems you're also hiding something. Your home? Your inhumanity?"
"Gowther... Shut it now..." I balled my fists.
"You're over two thousand years old, correct? You've been through so much and you still act like you're all that. You're faking everything about yourself. And it seems like you have feelings for someone here..." He tilts his head, "It's K-"
With every word, I stomped towards him angrily with balled fists. Right before he said the name, Meliodas tried to stop me.
"Gem, wait-" Meliodas started.
"SHUT UP, YOU IDIOT!" I powerfully kicked him into a tree with my arms in a fighting position.
"Wait, little Gemminia has feelings for someone here?" Ban smirked, "Is it me?" He grinned mischievously.
"Butt out of this, Ban." I cracked my knuckles.
"I'll find out." He shrugged and sipped more of his drink.
"Gowther, please stop." Elizabeth chimed in.
"Understood." Gowther once more does it to King.
"Knock it off! Why do you always have to make trouble for everybody?! Could you please just give it a rest?!" King stomped again and started towards him.
"Yeah, there's no reason to air our dirty laundry, right?" Meliodas said with crossed arms and a disappointed expression.
"That's right!" King realized what he said and glared at Meliodas, "I mean not that I have any dirty laundry!"
Meliodas snickered. I shook my head. These boys... I sipped more of my drink then floated to Elizabeth. She was inside the tavern, I really didn't want to be around Gowther right now. I blinked when I saw her bring out food.
"You got it?" I asked.
"Yes! Thanks though." She smiled.
I smiled back. She called for Meliodas and told her it was just out of the oven. They started talking and I floated over to Ban. I sat on top of his head and looked over at King. I hope he didn't figured out it was him Gowther was about to say.
"So your highness likes the captain?" Gowther asked, "Compared to when interacting with myself and the other members, your tone is higher and your heart rate is quicker. These are symptoms common of someone in love."
Elizabeth's face got completely red and King and Ban freaked out.
"Waaaah! Y-you idiot!" King screamed.
"That was seriously a bad move." Ban screeched.
They turned to Diane with sweaty faces.
"S-stay clam, Diane!"
"She's totally going to smash this please to smithereens."
We all looked at her with a sigh of relief. She was so drunk, she passed out on the ground peacefully.
"Oh my gosh... I'm going to sleep now too..." I floated over to her and leaned my back against her legs, falling into a deep sleep.
