A/N: Okay so I know the last chapter was really short so I apologize for that. So, I made this chapter longer, sorry. Also, I wrote this chapter back when I first thought of this story, so please let me know if it makes no sense so I can fix it.
-Two days later-
"The Seven Deadly Sins will pay for their crimes!" the man with lighting powers shouted.
The man gripped one of his whips then tried to hit us with the weapon. I used my speed to get away from each whip attempt. Why is he specifically aiming for me?
"Gem, why is he aiming for you only?" Diane asked, as she swung Gideon at the man.
"No freaking idea!" I floated into the air, "Ice Storm." I moved my hands in a certain motioned, making ice crystals appear.
The funny thing was what happened after. One second I'm shooting a volley of ice crystals at him. Suddenly, something like a lightning bolt shot into my brain. My eyes widened as I gasped, staring ahead of me as I fell into a vision.
*Flashback*
"Come on, King! Tell me where we're going!" I said.
"No! It's a surprise!" King smiled at me, grabbing my wrist and pulling me towards someplace.
"Fine, but this better be good since I'm missing training practice for this!" I smirked.
He just smiled at me then started levitating, pulling me with him. I rolled my eyes and levitated beside him.
"You can't have all the fun levitating, Harlequin!" I smiled.
"Race you?"
"But I don't know where to! If you told me, I can-"
"Try to keep up!" He chuckled.
I looked to see he was already flying quite far ahead towards wherever we were going.
"Hey! Not fair!" I raced after him.
I caught up easily and we flew next to each other, going at least eighty mph. I looked at him, impressed he was even up to speed with me.
"I'm barely trying! I'm going this speed so you can keep up!" I laughed as I flew below him, his body close to mine.
My face was near his while I smirked, letting the ground be on my backside and him facing the ground.
"You're already breaking a sweat! Are you ready to give up?" I grinned mischievously as I pretended to wipe a bead of sweat off his face.
"Yeah right!" He smirked then bended his legs, shooting himself faster through the air.
I slowed a little, a bit surprised, turning so my belly was to the ground. I laughed a bit once I was over it then zoomed after him. After a few minutes of trying to slow each other down by pushing each other as we flew, I ran into his arms literally. I crashed into him. I gasped at the sudden motion and stared at him with wide eyes, clenching to his top. He smiled softly at me and my heart tried to slow its beating.
"We're here." He stated.
I looked into his eyes as we slowly floated to the ground. Once our feet touched the ground, he let go of me. I slightly blushed, but luckily it was dark outside at that time. I looked around and saw we were near an edge of a cliff. Behind us was a bunch of trees but we stood in an open area where there were no trees. I looked at King who was already staring at me.
"You're not trying to kill me by pushing me off the cliff, are you?" I smirked, crossing my arms at him.
"W-what?! O-of course not! Why would you think that?!" His eyes widened and his voice broke into panic as he waved his arms around.
I giggled then sat down. I opened my eyes to see King with a frightened expression still. I smiled, patting the empty space next to me. Once he calmed down a bit, he sat next to me. We sat in silence for a moment then I looked at him.
"So what did you want to show me?" I asked with a sweeter tone.
"Shh!"
"Excuse me?!" I raised an eyebrow at him with a disgusted face.
"They'll go away if we talk too loud." King whispered as his eyes scanned our surroundings a bit.
"Huh?" At that point I had lowered my voice a bit.
He put a single finger to his lips then pointed upwards, smiling a bit. I looked up and I gasped a little to see a bunch of fireflies starting to glow. Since it was lighter now, I could see there was a mini meadow around us. It truly was beautiful.
"This is magnificent and beautiful." I whispered, smiling big.
"That sounds like you." He looked at me.
I whipped my head towards him.
"You're just trying to be nice now." I mumbled, looking towards the ground.
"But it's true."
"You don't mean it." I looked at the fireflies again.
"Who wouldn't mean it?" He looked at me curiously.
I looked at him, seriously.
"Well, perverts I met during my many years of life, Ban when I first met him..."
"Well, Ban can be added to the pervert list." King smirks.
I laughed at the comment. Those two will never stop. I sighed, feeling relaxed, and leaned my head on King's shoulder. He tensed at first and I felt him start to sweat. Souned like King when he's nervous or embarrassed. He must've been in his other form, I bet you. I was about to look at him but I jumped as fireworks started going off.
"Did something scare the famous Gemminia?!" King looked at me with a fake shocked expression and a hand over his heart.
I looked at him just in time to see him change from his other form to his normal form. I pushed him lightly in the shoulder and blushed slightly. I smiled. Why was he so nervous? We looked back at the fireworks and smiled.
"Gemminia?" King asked nervously.
"Yes?" I looked over at him.
"I-uh... I um..." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously and he started sweating a bit.
Oh I got it. I smiled big. I had been wanting to do this for ages. I grabbed King's face and placed my lips on his. I felt his breathing stopped and his eyes widened. Eventually, he relaxed and kissed me back. I pulled away, smiling, and placed my forehead on his.
"I've been wanting to do that for so long... But you beat me to it." He panted, smiling big.
"Way better than training practice." I smiled big back.
He kissed me again and fireworks were being set off and not just the ones that were coming from the small town in front of us.
*end*
I came back to reality only to black out.
Ban's POV
I caught Gemminia in a bridal style as she randomly fainted a few seconds after being shot with the small lightning bolt. I stared at her with wide eyes. She usually doesn't just faint. She usually gets up right after with an angrier face meaning she'll rip the opponent to shreds. I groaned, clenching my fists.
"King, protect her!" I threw her up high into the air.
"Got it!" King caught her on his chastiefol, speed flying away.
I grabbed my weapon, glaring at the man in front of me.
"I don't know who the hell you think you are," I calmly said before I started bashing him with my weapon, "BUT IF YOU THINK KNOCKING OUT THE GIRL WHOS LIKE MY SISTER IS FUNNY, THEN YOU CAN HAVE FUN DYING!" I smiled crazily at him.
He tried to strike me with bolts, but I avoided every one. I continued to try and hit him not caring that Captain was yelling for me to stop. He needed to know to not mess with people dear to me and not to mess with me at all.
"Okay! Okay! I surrender! I surrender!" The man cried.
I rolled my eyes. What a baby...
"Then tell me," I held a knife to his neck, "what did you do to make Gemminia stop in the middle of a battle?!" I sunk it deeper into his flesh.
"I-I only brought a deep memory back into her mind! That's all! I swear! The other holy knights forced me to do so! Please don't hurt me! I was only trying to save my family!" The man wheeped. I groaned.
"Well that was lame." I got off him then walked away with a disappointed mood.
"Um, Sir Meliodas? Where's Lady Gemminia and Sir King?" Elizabeth's soft voice announced.
My eyes widened. Well shit...
Gemminia's POV
I was pulling him through the air to the exact place. I knew what King was to me in the past now. I knew I had, and still have, strong feelings for him. That vision was a memory. But it wasn't just any memory. It was one of MY memories. One of the memories of the years that were taken away from my brain. I don't know how I knew where I was going, but I trusted my instincts.
"Gemminia! Tell me where we're going!" King struggled to get out of my grasp.
"No. It's a surprise." I stated.
His struggling stopped and he stared at me in shock, me knowing I struck something in his brain. He suddenly stopped and I had to catch him to make sure he doesn't clumsily fall onto the ground. His eyes widened and I could feel his heart beating faster as he panted.
"Wh-what is this...?" He looked around.
I set us on the ground and let go of him. I turned and faced the area that was once a village but was now ashes and dust.
"You don't remember this place, do you?" I asked, my hair blowing with the wind while still staring at the burned down town.
"Not that I can recall..." he said, walking up to me slowly.
"Perhaps I should've seen that coming..." I practically say to myself, "When that holy knight struck me with his powers, a memory was brought back to my head..." I continued to stare at my feet, my eyes staring to water.
"What memory?" He asked with a calm tone.
I looked at him as my eyes started to completely fill with water.
"The one of me and you kissing for the first time!" I almost screamed at him.
I whipped around so he wouldn't see me crying. I never cried in front of people. King is a different story, especially now that I had that memory back.
"K-kissing?" He asked, shocked.
"The other sins were annoyed with us for always being together, I know that for sure even though my memories aren't fully back. I can't believe I had feelings for you then too... But why did you have to not have mutual feelings for me now?" I whispered.
"Feelings?"
"King... That memory triggered a feeling I didn't know I could even feel. The thing is, how did I know you were the one who would let me explore the new feeling?"
"Were you...? Are you...?" He looked at me, surprised.
"I was and still am in love with you, Harlequin. How can you not see that?" I sniffled, wiping my nose, "Oh wait... It's because of Diane." I ran my fingers through my hair, pacing a bit as I sighed.
"I-I don't know what to say..." He looked at the ground.
"I honestly don't care right now if you don't love me back anymore. All I need is for you to kiss me right now in this very spot."
"Excuse me? Repeat that please?"
"Kiss me. Maybe it'll help bring back other memories for me. About you or maybe the other sins. I just need to know, King! It's driving me crazy! I want to know what happened in those years and why someone took it from me! But I can't do that without your help... So please! Help me! You're my only clue." I grabbed his shoulders and stared him in the eyes.
He stared at me for a while then looked to the ground.
"If I don't?" He mumbled.
I looked at him in shock and let go of his shoulders.
"Then I'd go practice training more, leaving all of you. Nobody else could help me as much as you can." I stared at him seriously.
He nodded. I raised an eyebrow, about to ask him why he did so, then he kissed me. I was taken aback at first but I kissed him back. Nothing happened at first but my eyes widened as I remembered all the moments I shared a kiss with King. I pulled away and held my brain, crying. I cried harder and harder, the memories of us so happily together played through my mind. King tried to say something but I think something pulled at his mind too so he was a bit speechless. Eventually, I knocked out cold from the stress.
King's POV
I brought her back to the Boat Hat where everyone was waiting for us, worried. When they saw her passed out, Elizabeth and Ban brought her to Meliodias' room immediately. I watched as they did, not wanting to be in a room with people right now. I turned to float away but I'm stopped when I heard a voice.
"Where are you going, King?" Diane's voice clearly said.
"To think." I said behind my shoulder then flew off.
I flew until I knew I was completely out of earshot range of the others. I stopped then floated in place, snuggling my chastiefol tightly. When I kissed her, a memory came back to my brain as well. I knew exactly what memory she was talking about. The memory of the fireflies and the fireworks near the edge of a small town just outside of the kingdom of Liones. I had no idea how she remembered to get there but now that the memory was back, I knew why she knew where to find it. It confused me that I was so in love with a person I don't even remember I loved and that I have feelings for Diane now. It just didn't seem right that I was left to fall for Diane while Gemminia was still falling for me. It was no wonder that when we first met again, something hit us in the brain like a rock to the head. My heart started pounding at the sight of Gemminia smiling. I smiled a bit then shook my head. What the...? Are the feelings coming back already? That's too quick for me to handle. I didn't mind, but I didn't want to hurt her. She's such an amazingly unique girl. I started daydreaming about what we might've been in the past that I didn't realize it was dark already. I heard a bark noise and I looked down to see Oslo. I smiled and petted him as he panted excitedly. I laughed as I saw his tail wag fast and barked with happiness.
"Hey Oslo! How've you been?!" I scratched behind his ear.
He barked but I knew exactly what he says.
"Good! ... Oslo... Do you remember Gemminia and me together?" I asked.
He barked twice and I looked at him surprised. How does he remember us together and not me? I smiled anyways.
"Okay! Thanks, boy! I'll see you soon!" I waved to him as he ran off with lots of energy.
I sighed then looked back in the direction of the Boar Hat. I needed to go back and explain what happened. As soon as I floated into the room where Gemminia was unconscious in, everybody sighed in relief, well except Ban of course. He just shrugged.
"Captain, I need a drink." I said, looking at the floor as I laid my back on chastiefol with a tired look.
"You got it, King!" Meliodas walked out of the room, happily.
"What happened with you two?" Princess Elizabeth asked.
I was quiet, everybody stared at me waiting for an answer. I didn't speak until captain came back with my ale. I took a sip then stared into the cup, thinking of how to start to explaining.
"Cap, you remember when Gemminia explained how she thinks her memories were stolen?" I asked, clearly.
"Yes? Why?" I heard him say.
"Her theory is correct."
"So you mean she...?" Diane asks.
"She definitely knew us before and we definitely knew her before. I still don't know how we did but I have somewhat proof." I looked at everyone with a serious expression after taking another sip.
"Well, talk away! We wanna hear more juicy secrets about her past!" Ban smirked.
"My memory of the event came after hers came back. I'm sure she said she got it back when that guy struck her with that bolt." I started.
"Yeah the guy explained that to us after you guys were gone." Ban said.
"Well, I had taken her a good distance back, but close enough so we can see you guys still. Once she woke up, she gasped and sat up immediately. I asked her if she was alright and she stared at me with wide eyes. She whispered my name as if I was an alien and I stared at her confused. After that, I was being dragged I didn't know where at the time. After a long talk once we arrived, she told me that back then, and even, now she was... she was in love with me... And I was in love with her..." I looked at them seriously.
"Wait... If she's in love with you now, then that sucks because she knows how you feel about Di-" I covered the captain's mouth.
"Are you an idiot? That's what he's trying to explain!" The talking pig shouted at Meliodas.
Captain motioned to continue and I nodded, letting go of him.
"She started crying cause she knows that exact fact. I wanted to help, but I was a bit overwhelmed by what was being thrown at me... She told me she didn't care if I felt the same back but she needed me to kiss her so she could see if it could help bring some memories back. So... I kissed her... and the memory of the place we were at came back into my mind. She pushed me away after a few seconds and started crying hard. I was going to tell her it was alright, but... I didn't even know if I was alright. I was shocked that I had so many strong feelings for this one person. I was shocked I'm not still in love with her." I paused for a moment, "She became unconscious after, probably from all the stress in her brain. So I hurried her back here." I shrugged after the last part.
"So why did you go to the forest to think?" Diane asked.
I was quiet for a while. Eventually, I levitated over her unconscious body and stared at her. I smiled a bit, moving some of her red hair out of her face.
"Because I think I'm falling in love with her all over again." I continued to stare at her.
"I am confused. I still do not understand the concept of this "love" theory. Why is it so confusing for you? Shouldn't you just pick the one you were in love with in the first place?" I heard Gowther say.
I turned my head and glared at him. He didn't know what just happened. He didn't know what feelings were.
"Gowther, everyone, I think we should leave King and Gemminia alone for a while." Meliodas said, pulling Gowther towards the door.
Once I think everyone's gone, I heard light footsteps.
"Sir King?" I tensed when I heard Elizabeth's voice.
"Yes, princess?" I asked, calmly.
"If you don't mind, I need to change Lady Gemminia's head towel every few hours. I will do it in about an hour if it's okay with you." She said, softly.
I just nodded, not wanting to use my voice for anything anymore. I heard her walk out the door then shut it. I sighed then stared at Gemminia. What was I going to do? As soon as she woke up, she was not going to want to talk to me. I scratched the back of my head. I would just get the others when she started to wake. I made chastiefol float next to her bed level so if she woke I could see her. I watched her as her chest moved up and down slowly, motioning she was doing fine. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it.
"I'll get our memories back somehow, Gemminia. Maybe I'll figure out who I love after that." I kissed her forehead then whispered, "I really hope it's you."
I smiled as I fell asleep, holding her hand.
