Ch. 14: Becoming a Team

  A/N: Hey look at that, two chapters in one day! That's rare haha but they are kinda short so sorry about that. Anyways, I've decided the story is ending soon. There will be maybe two to four more chapters I think I'm not sure yet. Anyways, I hope you are enjoying! =)

Gemminia's POV
Dreams. No wait. Scratch that. Memories. They all came flooding back like a tsunami. Tsunami... Calder... I was sitting on a grassy area where a small amount of flowers surrounded me. I watched as all the memories played for me to remember. At this point, I thought I was dead and since I was dead, I was able to get my memories to come back and replay for me. Out of curiosity, I reached my hand out to touch one of the memories that caught my interest and a bright light shown.
I looked around once the light died down and I scrunched my eyebrows. Where am I? A gust of wind blew past me, making my hair fly all over the place. Once I moved my hair out of my way, I gasped to see that person was me. I floated and followed myself to wherever I was going. The memory me stopped once she got to the castle gates and walked up to the guards with a big smile.
"My name is Gemminia and I've come here under the king of Liones' order." She [A/N: I'm just gonna say she for the memory her] held out a piece of paper to them.
They examined it then nodded. The gates opened and she smiled, floating into the air then speed flying around everywhere. I flew after her before the gates closed and watched her. After a few giggles and spins, she almost bumped into someone.
"Oi! Be careful!" The boys said, rubbing his arm.
My eyes widened as I saw the boy was King.
"I'm so sorry! I'm Gemminia by the way! It's a pleasure to meet you!" She stuck her hand out for her to take.
He looked at her surprised but eventually shook her hand.
"What are you here for?" He asked.

"I don't think I'm supposed to tell you but," she looked around to make sure nobody was near them, "I'm here for something the king wants." She smiled as she whispered to him.
"I am too!"
"We should go together then!" She grabbed his hand then flew to the hall doors.
Once they were there, she ran with him to the king's chambers. They looked at each other then nodded. She smiled at him then let go of his hand and walked in, King following close behind. When they were inside, they noticed six others already there. Everyone turned to look at us and the short blonde guy smiled at us.
"Hello! I'm Meliodas! Are you Gemminia and King?" He asked.
We nodded. He smiled again and chuckled.
"Well, I'll be your new captain of the team the king created." He gave me a thumbs up and a cute cheeky smile.
She smiled back then clapped.
"I hope you eight will cooperate." I saw a man say, who looked like the king.
"I hope we all become friends! And I promise to work hard!" She bowed.
The king chuckled and patted her head. She looked up and blinked her eyes in surprise.
"Um sir? Can I please ask you a serious question?" She bit her lip.
"What is it?" He asked.
She looked at her feet then spoke, obviously shy about her question.
"Why... Why did you let me out of prison?" She asked.
"A pretty innocent girl like you was in prison?" I looked to see Ban.
Ban looked a bit different back then. He had longer hair and showed his muscularness. Dream me balled her fists, not happy about the comment.
"I did it because you all have something in common." We all looked at the king.
"And what's that?" I saw Diane asked.
"You'll learn. But first you must work together. You are needed." And with that, the king left.
They all stared at each other, studying each other. They wondered who was a friend and who would betray.
"I think we'll do fine! From here on, we are going to work together." She smiled then put her hand in the middle.
Nobody did anything at first until she elbowed King next to her. He cleared his throat then put his hand in the middle. One by one they slowly put their hands in the middle.
The scene changed and I saw King and me fighting. With literal weapons and powers. We were both sweating a bit but we had determined faces. King panted as he swung his arm across the air, making chastiefol in spear form come straight towards her.
"Y-you're not going to win this t-time, Harlequin!" She shouted.
My eyes widened. There was times before?
"Hey! You two! Training time is over!" Meliodas yelled from the ground.
Neither of them took their eyes off each other. She smirked as she knocked chastiefol towards the ground. King glared at her panting. She panted, still staring at him with a smirk. She sighed then closed her eyes and lowered her hand.
"You win." King stated then flew up to her and swung her around, "You did so good!"
I laughed and hugged him back as we floated to the ground.
"Thank you so much! I've been training harder than usual." She smiled at him with an arm around his torso.
"C'mon you love birds, dinner is waiting for us!" Meliodas wrapped an arm around her neck and nuggied her.
She blushed, pouting and complaining that they weren't together as they walked off.
The real me came back to reality (aka the real world) and I immediately sat up. A loud crash sounded to my right and dust came rushing towards me. I covered my face with my arm, trying to see if I could see anything through the dust. I coughed and my eyes widened when I saw five people in a fighting position in front of a creature I've never seen.
I looked up at King and saw he was pretty beaten up. He had a lot of scratches and bruises all over him. His clothes were torn in a bunch of places but he still had a determined face. He looked kind of scary. Someone hovered over me, panting. I looked up to see Howzer staring at me.
"Are you alright?!" He asked worried.
"Howzer..." I mumbled.
He blinked at me then sat on his legs.
"Y-you remember now?" He asked.
"I remember everything..." I stood up and his eyes widened.
"W-what are you going to do?!" He grabbed my arm.
I looked at him with a serious face and he stared into my red eyes.
"I'm going to kill this bitch."
