Jeffory's POV

Ugh.. What happened? Why am I in this blue be- Katelyn's room?! Oh yeah, the revenge thing. I passed out didn't I? Anywa- AH! I looked up to see a pair of eyes staring down at me. Who is that girl? Nope, it wasn't Katelyn. The girl had blonde hair and green eyes with a bright red dress on. She looked like one of the sassy type of girls that bully people, but are very weak and nice to teachers. What now? I was whining my head off mentally. The girl just stared at me, blushing. "You're real cute" she finally said. "Want to be my boyfriend?" Before I could muster a no, I saw a girl in tears by the door. Katelyn. "NO!" I shouted, startling the girl. I just wanted Katelyn to hear me, but she already ran away...

I jumped out of bed, pushing the blonde aside. I chased Katelyn outside. Luckily, it wasn't hard. I caught her by the stream, mumbling to herself. I sighed, taking a seat.

"You okay?"

"Mmmm. Why do you care?"

"You look disappointed."

"Why do you think I look that way?"

"Mmmmmmmm"

"You're a disappointment"

"Ouch!"

"Says the person that invited some other girl in my tent, thanks for that."

" I don't know that girl!"

"Yeah, yeah. You lie well"

"But-"

"Enough. Visiting hours are over."

She left the grassy meadow by the stream. You know, this stream...nobody knows about this. It really is pretty. It's currents shine blue, making my head spin with pictures of a certain, special girl. The sound of the water hitting against the rocks filled my head with that girl's laughter. I miss it. Her smile reminded me of the smooth stones, tough, but gentle altogether. She really was pretty, just like a stream. This stream. The way her loose, long hair flowed in the wind. The way her voice sounded when she hummed or sang. Only I knew how she sounded because I saw and heard her sing at night and hum in her sleep. The mist of the river reminded me of the wisps of her breath on a cold morning. Katelyn loved the cold so much. She used to dance in the snow.

You know, once Katelyn found out about her singing, she taught me this song. I roughly remember it.

Only know you've been high when you're feeling low,

Only know the road when you're missing home,

Only know you're lover when you let her go...

"And you let her go" I whispered. It was darker now. All this time, I've been admiring this stream. Time flies by when you look at water. I tried something I never tried before. I started humming. "Hmmhmmhmmhmhmhmmm" The river's splashes gave the sound a peaceful feeling. It really was nice outside. "Hi!" The blonde from before came up to me "I know that you don't want to be BF and GF, but you are real cute" Ugh, please not now. "I'm Emmy, What's your name?" Please go away. "Jeffory" I managed to grumble, trying to fake smile.  "Teeheeheeheehee you have such a cute name" she giggled. "Wanna go on a date, just to get to know me... huh?" "NO! PLEASE NO! I mean no thanks" I forced the last part out. She is annoying, but I'm not rude. "Aw, come on" She said reaching for my hand. I jerked it promptly away and moved away from her. The moon was up now and it was very late. The blonde moved to where I was and started leaning in, eyes closed, lips puckered. I didn't know what to do, I pushed her away. I swear, I saw a flash of blue in the trees. Please, not Katelyn. I don't want her to misunderstand.

Katelyn's POV

I heard the humming. I thought he deserved another chance. I thought wrong. Next thing you know it, Blondie is here. Jeffory told her that she couldn't come to my room, so she should come here. Wait, what is dripping on my arms. I'm-I'm crying? I-I-I . Run. I think he noticed me. He wouldn't care anyways. Do I like him? Maybe, hopefully not. When I was running, I saw it. The love-birds were leaning in for a kiss. I ran even faster. I saw a little pixie-girl by my tent. Why hello there, I'm Tyra. I'm Katelyn. Why are you sad, Katelyn. It's nothing. It's about Jeffory, right. Wait, how do you know Jeffory. I was a pixie that is usually with him, he is my bond. A best friend.  And you can read minds?  Yeah! And I happen to know that Jeffory l- "TYRA!!!" A voice yelled. He found me. "What did I tell you about- Katelyn?" I looked away. "Katelyn, what's wrong?" I fought tears. "Nothing"

"There is something wrong"

"No"

"Please not this again"

"No"

"Tyra, what did you tell her"

Nothing

"She only introduced me to her"

"Knowing Tyra, that's not the case" I

You two just kiss already!

"I'm not doing anything with that brat"

"But I will!"

He grabbed my arms, holding them against my torso and kissed me...

Jeffory's POV

Okay. Awkward night. After the kiss, Katelyn collapsed. I carried her to her bed while Tyra was shrieking and snapping pictures. That girl, Emmy, was flirting with Garroth. On the other hand, Garroth was trying to say he liked Aphmau without blushing. It was hilarious.

The girl that I carried just moments before returned. "Hey" I have to take it easy. "H-hi" She seemed startled to hear me. "How you feeling?" Her eyes widened like she believed I didn't care. Yeah, Right. "Okay, I guess" She was scared. "I can't do this" I hugged her tight. I missed her usual self. I feel like I changed her. She used to be so much better than this. I can tell that she liked the hug, but she probably wouldn't tell. She's lost trust in me. "I liked the hug" Wait what? I embraced her again. It felt so nice. So nice to feel the stream. So nice to feel accompanied.  So nice to know that I still was her friend.  That she trusted me.

Her giggles rung in my head. Her smile. It was soft, but brighter than the sun. Her warm, fuzzy hair that always smelled of ocean breezes and mist. It was great to be like this. Great to love her.
