Jefflyn and Nonsense!!!!

Chapter 3

Katelyn's POV

I knew I hurt him. I wish I didn't, but I think he is the one knocking. Open it! My mind told me, yet I hesitated. Open it! My mind repeated. What else could go wrong? "Fine." I sighed. There outside my door stood Jeffory . It turns out that it was him, sent out by Aph to apologize. He said how sorry he was and how he was trying to protect us. I personally don't remember, I was just too happy he came back.

He hugged me, but this time I hugged back. Now, Let us rebuild our friendship. It has been 15 years since we last saw him. I wonder if he still remembers some of my favourite things. This time, I knew my mind was right, so he was invited in and could sleep in my room with Abby and I. The only problem is that he and Abby have no sleeping bags. Abby was going to have to sleep in the one blanket she brought fit only for one person. It is only fair that she gets it.

Jeffory's POV

I can't believe she forgave me! It is just like the old times where we couldn't stay mad at each other for long. I would be sleeping in Katelyn's cabin, although, I think I need to sleep on a sheet on the ground. Unless, she meant...,Naw, She doesn't like me. Katelyn says we can alternate where we sleep every night to be fair. Anyways, who cares? "It's getting late" she said, snapping me out of my thoughts. " We should take showers..." When a guy with white hair walked in, she added" NO PEEKING, YOU GUYS" Me being the mess I am, I blushed. The white-haired man smirked. Wait. Is this Katelyn's boyfriend. I hope not, so I'll ask him. Approaching the albino, I asked "What is your name? Mine's Jeffory, Jeffory the Golden Heart, Katelyn's Best Friend" I stuck out my hand to shake.

"The name's Travis"

"Cool name, how are you doing, Travis?"

"Great! The girls here have big boo-"

"TRAVIS, DON'T MAKE ME COME OUT THERE!"

"-ts . Yeah boots, totally."

"Are you Katelyn's friend?"

My heart willed for the answer. "No, I'm her boyfriend" Travis replied. For that second, my heart dropped.She loves someone else. As I said, For that second because Katelyn came running out of the washroom with different clothes on, her hair dried with a towel. She chased Travis out the door and slammed it shut. "I am not his girlfriend", she huffed. "Travis is the biggest flirt here".

After showers...

We all curled into bed with, as I expected, me on the ground. I shouldn't get my hopes up... yet. I tried one last trick...

Katelyn's POV

Okay. The beds are set, the sheets are ready, and we're all ready for bed. I turned off the lights and everyone tried to fall asleep. I was asleep before I hit my pillow

At midnight

I woke up to a tugging sensation at my sleeve. It was dark out, but I could see Jeffory's green eyes glowing. "What?" I grumbled quietly, trying not to wake Abby up."I can't sleep..." he whimpered. "Can I sleep here?". Don't judge,  I was drowsy, so I let him on. As soon as I turned back around to sleep, he hugged me from behind. It was annoying, but I felt safe, maybe happy in his embrace. I fell asleep and had the best of dreams...

The morning

In the morning, I woke up with a guy with his arms around me. The night's events came flooding back to me as I tickled Jeffory awake. After a while, a smirk formed on his face as he tackled me to the ground. I swear, he hasn't changed a bit. We went to the breakfast cabin (A/N I dunno about the cabins, okay, so make these things up) and, well cooked breakfast. I made pancakes, and Jeffory...watched. It was slightly creepy, but still reassuring. After a while, everyone else came to the cabin and wolfed the pancakes down. "Thanks, mom" Abby cried. Realizing her mistake she added "Auntie Katelyn". "It's alright" I said. Jeffory added "She would be a great mother, though." I rolled my eyes and tried to not blush. Either way, I think I blushed pink.

Jeffory's POV

I gotta tell her and Abby, so I left a note

Dear Abby and Katelyn,

Meet me at the cabin ASAP. It's important.

Jeffory

I am in the cabin now, and  I see them in the distance. When they came in, I immediately blurted out "Abby, Katelyn, I had no wife. Abby, your mother is my sister. She was hunt down by Zane's men and gave you to me. I adopted you. " I looked down in disappointment in myself, but the girls smiled. "Called it" Katelyn said. "Katelyn can be my mom!" Abby cried. I blushed and Katelyn had her cheeks tinted pink. Noticing the blush, Abby laughed." Jeffory likes Katelyn, Jeffory likes Katelyn" She chanted. She is so childish. By Katelyn's facial expression, I could tell she was thinking the same thing.

For the day, Katelyn showed me around the island and introduced me to new people. Travis was flirting with every girl he sees,  while the girls ignored him and went back to their jobs. Abby was going to help cook, which is her specialty, and I was going to work with Katelyn. We were going to patrol, when suddenly, Ivy appeared. Katelyn and I went into Jury of nine mode as Ivy did, too. "Jeffory and Katelyn, my favoured, two love birds" she mocked. "Jeffory, why did you fake your death to be here." She took an amulet out and said "This will take a person's love away. For Jurors, it only works on girls. Oh, well". Pointing the amulet at Katelyn, she fired.

Katelyn's POV

That's why she has a stronger presence. She is still weak, but emits off an aura of fear. I knew it. I like someone. The amulet works on me. I want to run, but I can't. I got zapped, now I see black. I am not dead. I hear footsteps and someone calling for Aph. I hear Ivy's cackle and her running away. Love. Gone. Someone. Patrol. Memory. That is all I remember before I was out cold.

Jeffory's POV

NO! My only chance with Katelyn, gone. Love can be rebuilt, but I have the amulet, too. In certain, rare circumstances, memory can be restored eventually. Otherwise, all moments with their love will be gone...forever. Let's hope that this is a rare circumstance. Aphmau came running over with Abby and Lucinda. Please help me, Irene.
