I ran my fingers over the gauntlets, remembering the day he made the promise.
He told me he would be fine, that he would be safe. He told me that he could handle it by himself...
LIES! He tried to handle things himself, he tried to be safe, he tried to be fine. Look what that got him, a grave and a death. Look where that got him. A cold grave underground where he'll rot and be forevermore.
He was the only one who understood me, the only friend I had. GONE! His murderer's song of laughter pierced through my heart.
I remember his promise. He said that he would stay with me. Speaking of promises, he also promised that we would be married when we grew up.
Guess what, he married the girl I was closest to. He was the promise-breaker.
However, he stole my heart.
I loved him. His laugh warmed my heart, his words made me believe everything he said, his smile was as soft as a bird's wing. That's probably why my friend fell for him.
I heard his death. His sobs, his pain, his cries. It was cruel that I was simply listening, but he would've wanted me to stay outside.
He was my best friend, my pride and joy. His, was his loving daughter who he made with his wife.
Today was supposed to be his birthday, the one we used to celebrate together, nobody else.
One day, he invited her. I felt betrayed...was I really worth enough to him. It's his choice, but...wow.
Ever since, I stopped coming to the birthdays. He acted sad, but inside he was happy that he could be alone with her.
I finally stopped talking to him. He called for me, but I never answered. I was alone once more.
When we finally made up. He was married and had a kid. That's when I confessed.
He never answered my confession. He said he would after the mission. He never came back to me alive.
Someone knocked at my door. She called my name. For an instance, I thought it was him, rushes of adrenaline pumping in my veins. Then, I noticed it was her, the bane of his death. I hated her, but had her as a friend. She left me alone, alone once more.
Someone called me again. This time...
...I knew it wasn't her.
