Chapter One:
you screwed up, calum
I sat on the couch watching Luke and Michael play FIFA, screaming at each other.
"Luke no! That was a foul! A foul I say!"
"Obviously it wasn't a foul or the game would of called it!" Luke argued.
"Hacks! I call hacks!" Michael screamed, pointing at the television screen.
"Oh shut up you big lug," Luke shoved him lightly.
I shook my head and laughed as Ashton came sprinting into the room holding a magazine shaking it frantically.
"Guys! We have a problem!"
"What is it?" I asked, standing up from the couch.
"Eh... maybe you should find out last..." Ashton scratched the back of his neck.
This caught the bickering childrens attention on the floor. They paused the game on the television screen and stood up. "What's up?"
Ashton looked to me before grabbing Michael and Luke and pulling them into another room.
I raised an eyebrow, wondering what was so important that I wouldn't be able find out until later.
"What!" I heard Luke and Michael yell.
"Guys?" I called, turning to where they had left.
Soon, they appeared with nervous smiles on their faces. Ashton walked back over to me as the other two went back to playing FIFA but a little bit too silent to make me feel any better.
"So... don't freak out but just read this article," Ash handed me the magazine which I looked down at cautiously.
"What's it about?"
"Just read it."
I looked down at the word and started reading it. (A/N: it's the same article that Dani read in the epilogue and the prologue) My eyes scanned over the words, my heart beating faster the further along in the article I got.
"Who ratted out!?" I yelled, dropping the magazine on the ground.
True, I did have a girlfriend now, but it was supposed to be kept a secret until management wanted to let the world know about it.
"Not us man. If we had, we wouldn't be freaking out," Luke put his hand in the air, giving Michael a chance to get a shot.
My eyes widened once I realize what would happen, "Shit! Dani! What are the chances that she's seen this already?"
"Her best friend Max is a huge fan of us. No doubt she keeps up with our tabloids. And if she's seen this, she's showed Dani already," Luke looked down, pausing the game. "Sorry man, but I don't think you can hide this from her."
"Dude, this has got to be the worst birthday ever!" I sunk down to the ground and placed my head in my hands.
"She sent you a snap about twenty minutes ago," Michael commented, holding up my phone.
I looked up and made grabby hands, "Give."
Michael tossed my phone to me and I caught it, quickly typing in the password and going to my snap.
It was a picture of her making a kissing face and I noticed something different, "She dyed her tips red."
The picture had the caption, 'Happy Birthday, this is my present to you! *kissing face emoji*'
I went to her snapchat story to see if she had posted anything.
"Yeah, I saw the picture and article. I'm not going to lie and say it doesn't hurt because it does." She looked down before the video ended. The story continued. "Guess I should change my hair color huh?" The video ended before it went to a picture. It was her with the puppy dog filter and the caption was 'always keep fighting (even if he is a douche)'.
"What did I do?"
"What ever you did, you need to fix it."
"And fast," Luke added.
"Damn straight," I slammed my fist on the ground. "I've screwed up. And I've screwed up bad."
