Rosie mumbled to herself how she would never be drinking, ever again, on account of how rough and delicate she was feeling that morning, as she turned over reaching out for the warmth of Ash’s body, which had helped soothe her to sleep the previous night. Only to be met with nothing but her cold and extremely crinkled bed sheets. To this Rosie opened her eyes groggily, wiping the sleep that had accumulated within them with the back of her hand, which in turn smeared her eyeliner from the night before.
Rosie took a few moments to fully focus on her bedroom, which was just basically a messy heap of teddy bears that had obviously been thrown and discarded to the floor when Ash had helped her get into bed last night, due to her being so drunk it was unreal. As she turned over to look at the clock which lay on her bedside table, she saw a small post it note with cursive writing adorned on it’s, in comparison, tacky yellow background, it read;
Good morning Angel,
I’m sorry that I’m not with you this morning, but I had to leave before your Mother came in to wish you Goodnight, so that she didn’t discover me in your bed. Although I would have liked to have seen her expression, very much. However I didn’t want to get you into trouble.
See you soon,
Ash x
On seeing this Rosie chuckled to herself and thought of how her Mum would have reacted if she had seen the two of them lying in bed together, and she concluded that it would not have been a pretty site, and that she would be in the deepest shit it was unreal.
“At least it’s a Saturday” Rosie muttered underneath her breath as she finally dragged herself out of bed, and made her way to the bathroom, where she had possibly the longest shower she had ever had in her life, whereby she scrubbed herself a million times over, trying to erase any trace of the alcohol fuelled night that had just passed.
Afterwards she chucked on her ‘comfy pants, which in reality were just her jogging bottoms, but Rosie liked to call them her comfy pants, and so she did. She coupled this with a loose fitting jumper, which just so happened to be her favourite, as not only was it extremely cosy, but it also had Elvis on it. As for her hair well she just quickly pinned it back into a half up half down do, leaving her unruly curls to do as they wished, which didn’t they always? She thought to herself as she bounded down the stairs two at a time, expecting just to see Joey sat in the living room watching his cartoons, eating some snacks, waiting for her to get up, which he didn’t usually have to do, but last night had really taken its toll on her. Her Mum as usual was off gallivanting as Rosie liked to think of it, but in reality she was just at work, but it pissed Rosie off that she was hardly every there, so by calling it gallivanting she felt a teeny tiny bit better. Instead when she walked into the living room she was greeted by two pairs of eyes staring at her and not just one.
“What the bloody hell are you doing here?!” Rosie exclaimed as her eyes locked with Ash’s, who was smirking at her state of disarray, whilst eyeing up her mismatched attire also. Why couldn’t he have come when I’m all dressed up and actually have makeup on! Rosie mentally huffed as she awaited his answer.
“Joey rung me” Came Ash’s reply a few moments later
“W-what? How did he even…” Rosie began, totally dumfounded as to how her brother had managed to get in contact with Ash, when to her knowledge he didn’t even have his phone number. Only she did, and that was on her phone, and Joey never managed to get a hold of that, or did he? She glared at her little brother, trying to decipher his body language, to see if he had in fact stolen her phone. “Joey did you…” She began only to be cut off by Ash’s extremely husky voice, whish Rosie was struggling incredibly hard not to find sexy.
