After the hectic weekend with his angel, Ash felt drained yet blissful. As he entered the semi-crowded halls, the instant attack of beating hearts resounded in his ultrasensitive ears. Usually he'd feed before getting to the discoloured building but with his mind preoccupied on Rosie, he simply forgot. Racing throughout his mind was Rosie, the party, and just spending time with her- staying with her until her heartbeat steadied into a still sleep. It was tempting to tear through her flesh and drain what was keeping her alive but Ash couldn't bring himself to. No, she was different, he promised himself. Gulping down the sound, Ash walked through the halls keeping his ears open for Rosie's voice.

"Oh my gosh, that party was amazing!"

Not her... This was an overly ecstatic blonde clinging onto her clearly uncaring friend who had headphones in both of her ears. Ash walked past them amused but sufficed in keeping a poker-face.

"Are you going to the match after sc-"

No... Now it was a bunch of sport-crazed boys who thought they were too cool and at the top of the food chain. Too bad Ash could rip them to shreds within two seconds. He stayed cool but smug as he pushed past receiving a couple of negative looks his way.

"Jessie, I have so much to tell you."

"There you are, Angel," Ash muttered soundlessly allowing a blinding grin spread across his stone-like face. Completely smitten and hunger forgotten, Ash followed her tired but content voice and the southern twang of her friend, Jessie.

"Well darlin', start from the party you went to without us!"

Pace by pace, the accent became louder. Without realizing, Ash started walking at his inhumane piece only just a tad. Turning a sharp corner, he saw her. Her figure leaned against the wall, her hair around her face like a curtain; she gave Jessie which was from simply thinking about Ash. An eased look enlightened her elegant features as she retold what happened between the two over the weekend. Ash heard word for word as she gushed on about how he stayed with her until she fell asleep and how he disappeared in the morning.

As if his emotions controlled his feet, Ash sped over to Jessie's side, a smug smile lightening his usual nonchalance.

"Angel," he said staring straight into her eyes.

"HOLY-"

"Ash!" Rosie screamed in utter shock and to stop Jessie from yelling a string of profanities. Her cheeks instantly burned red as she recalled that she was just talking about him and here Ash was.

"Where did you come from?" Jessie gasped taking two large steps away from him and to Rosie's side.

Ash couldn't help but smirk since that was the reaction he was used to when he was about to sink his teeth into- no. He shook his head and tried to regain his composure.

"Ash?" Rosie asked her face paling slowly but lacing with concern.

"I uh, I was only a few steps behind... her," he meekly explained pointing to Jessie as he was completely unaware of her name. "Well, I came to talk to you. Alone."

Jessie looked between the two and rolled her eyes. "You don't need to be subtle, I'll get outta your hair," she said turning to Rosie. "I'll see you later, darlin'." She hugged Rosie and whispered quickly, "Tell me everything at lunch," in her ear then stalked off.

Clearly knowing, Ash bit back a smile at their exchange. Rosie smiled at her friend in goodbye stalling and trying to think of what to say to Ash.

"I wanted to ask you something," Ash asked not allowing Rosie to recollect or recompose herself at all.
