Rosie had been avoiding Ash over the past few weeks as she just didn't quite know what to make of the little 'incident' that had transpired between the two. And so instead she decided to focus on her school work and also on her application for college that she would be attending the following year. Throughout this entire time Ash's brother Zach had been 'visiting' her more often, using the fact the her and Ash weren't exactly on good terms at that time to his advantage. Each time he visited he laid on the charm thick, gaining the vital information about his brother that he both craved, and needed.
Rosie was of course still oblivious to the fact that she was being compelled to tell Zach these things, and then afterwards when he had gone to forget that he had ever been there in the first place. Zach was still going out with one of Rosie's best friend Jessie, much to the disdain of the whole group, which of course included Rosie herself. None of them however could snap Jessie out of the Zach induced haze that had engulfed her, not even Nick who cared for her deeply.
A honk outside her window caused Rosie to jump up from her bed, as she peered out of the window only to see her best friend Almog waving up at her with her usual happy smile upon her face. "I'll be down in two seconds" Rosie shouted down to her best friend who just nodded in response as she waited for Rosie, who pulled her head out of the window, closing it behind her, which she then followed by grabbing her coat and bag, before racing down the stairs and outside to Almog, since her Mum had actually decided to take Joey to school today. For once, Rosie thought to herself as she climbed into her best friends car, banishing all thoughts of bad things from her mind, replacing them with the general chat that the two friends shared on their morning journeys to school.
"So, how was your weekend Rosie dearest?" Almog asked as she set off to school.
"Not too bad, the usual, you?" Rosie replied, nothing interesting had happened over the weekend, in fact she had just stayed at home, watching movies in her jammies and stuffing her face with very unhealthy snacks.
"It was good thanks, on Saturday I went shopping with my Mum and Dad, my Grandma came along too, and then on Sunday I just had a chilled out day" Almog relayed her weekend to Rosie who smiled, kind of jealous that she actually had things to do with her family, all her Mum ever did at the weekends was go out with her friends, leaving Rosie to look after Joey in the evenings. Which got incredibly tedious after a while, not that she didn't love Joey, it was just that she sometimes wished that she could have the normal life of a teenager. Partying and staying out late, that kind of thing.
"Hello Earth to Rosie" Almog said as she waved her hand in front of Rosie's face, recapturing her attention, bringing her out of her mini rant that was going on within her head.
"Oh right sorry, that sounds lovely" Rosie replied placing her best fake smile onto her face as they neared the school.
"You still haven't spoken to Ash have you Miss Moody?" Almog stated more than asked as they both got out of her car and made their way into the school, heading for their first lesson together.
"No I haven't Almog, and I am in no way being moody because of him" Rosie snapped at her best friend, irritated by the whole 'Ash' subject. Any time she thought of him she couldn't help but feel a little lost. She has missed him over the past few weeks, however she just didn’t know what to do about him at that particular moment in time.
"Alright, bloody hell, I was only asking" Almog replied a little taken aback and hurt by Rosie's sudden outburst.
"I'm sorry, I'm just not feeling too great today y'know?" Rosie replied, her mood darkening as she saw Zach dropping Jessie off to school, who actually didn't look too well that day.
"Hey guys" Jessie smiled weakly at her two friends as she walked over to them after waving Zach off one final time.
"Hey Jessie, are you sure you should be at school today sweetie?" Almog asked, placing her arm around Jessie's shoulders, offering her some friendly comfort.
