Mitch's POV

I stood on the hospital balcony and breathed hard. The cold air hit my face and I felt tears down my cheeks.

"....He's gonna be okay."

I turned and face a bearded man with a pair of beautiful green eyes. I sighed, allowing him to approach. He did.

"What did the doctor say?"

"He said Scott hurt his leg bad, but he's going to be alright."

"...Why did he hurt his leg?"

"He had an accident. He was speeding in the rain and he crashed into a BMW. The bill is going to be amazing and Scott's gonna be in a cast but-"

"What about his eyes?"

"What about his eyes,"

"They flash black now and then it's realy scary. Haven't you noticed?"

"Not really."

I shrugged. "Well it happens."

"Mitch......" Avi looked away from me to the dark night sky. "I'm really sorry."

"It's okay. I mean I was acting crazy back at the hut and I understand you being confused."

"Not just that."

I didn't say anything and Avi sighed.

"Mitch I know it's wortless saying this now but I am so sorry for everything. For hurting you, for making you a wreck. I shouldn't have avoided you that day. But I swear I never forgot about you once for the five years."

"....I forgive you."

Avi blinked. "What...?"

I met his eyes. "I forgive you, Avi. I thought I never would but when I faced it....I wanted to. I really wanted to forgive you."

Avi's lips were on mine.
My hot tears wet his cheeks and he wiped it away. My arms wrapped around his neck, trying to hold him so close he'd never run away.

"What the fuck-"

Me and Avi pulled away instantly like we were caught doing something wrong. Alex was standing by the doorway, his eyes wide.

"Alex...!" I shrieked, standing up instantly. Avi blushed hard and rushed out the room, covering his face.

"You just don't stop, do you?"

"Alex I-"

"You just......you're just so selfish. Scott's dying because of you and you're here kissing another guy. Do you know why Scott was hit by the car? It's because he felt bad about leaving you alone. And also his eyes flashing dark, it's because he drank too much human blood. Where do you think he got that from?"

Oh no.

"It's all your fault. If you'd just go away everything will be alright. No one will be hurt. Stay out of their lives and stay QUIET."

I blinked back the tears, trying to keep my ground. The vampire hunter's smouldering hand clasped around my wrist and my powers disappeared.

I ducked away and ran.

I ran out.

Ran out the door.

Ran out the hospital.

Ran out of their life.

Ran out of his life.

For what I thought was forever.
