I woke up.
It took a while to adjust to the sunlight coming in through the blinds. My back hurt from the uncomfortable position I was sleeping in on the sofa.
I rubbed my eyes and stretched. But something or someone was stopping me.
I shifted around and saw Josh's gorgeous face. He was still asleep. I never noticed how long his eyelashes were.
I studied his face structure some more. His breathing was steady and calm. Without thinking, I placed my palm gently on his cheek. I caressed the soft skin, still jealous of his beautiful eyelashes and baby smooth skin.
Before I knew it, his hand grabbed mine which caused me to gasp slightly. His eyes fluttered open, showing me his beautiful brown eyes.
I stared in shock, embarrassed by what I did. He was still holding my hand, gently but firm.
Great, Emily. Why did you touch him?
"Sorry..." I trailed off. Instead of being angry or asking me questions, he just smiled.
"It's okay. Nice way for me to wake up though," he said. I blushed. Josh chuckled. I quickly stood up. "Um...I'm gonna go shower so......yeah." And I ran up the stairs.
I slammed my bedroom door and rested against it. I sighed, but froze when I noticed the smell.
I narrowed my eyes onto my bed. "What the heck!" I screamed. "Emily, what's wrong? You okay?!" Josh shouted. The door busted open.
I turned around and saw his worried expression. I chuckled darkly. "Oh, they don't know what they gotten themselves into."
Josh
Emily chuckled darkly. "Oh, they don't know what they gotten themselves into."I looked at Emily's blue bedsheets. It wasn't cleaned up.
Emily stormed out of the house. "Wait up, Emily!" I called after her.
She turned around. "Sorry, but I just need coffee to cool me down." I nodded. "I'll go get it for you. Just stay here and find something to do."
Emily nodded. "A macchiato," she said grumpily.
Emily walked into the house and once she shut the door, I drove to Starbucks. It was 8:41, so I'm not exactly sure about the amount of people that would be there.
As I stand in line, I see a familiar blonde. It's not her. It can't be.
Alena.
I pretend not to notice her and turn the other way. But I see her smile and walk towards me.
"Josh, nice to see you again," she said in a sickly sweet voice. I shivered and mentally grimaced. "Alora? Aurora? Allie? Sorry, I don't remember."
Alena chuckled. "Awe, that's too bad. But since you're an old friend....it's Alena."
"So how's everything? Still using your player ways, eh?" I clutched my fists.
Alena was one of my old 'girlfriends'. I played her good. It was at a party. She was dancing, but I walked off.
I got tired of her. So I went off to find myself a new girl. Alena saw us kissing and you know the rest. Cries, emotional breakdown, what-not.
Later on, she tried to seduce me. She failed, but was never the one to back down.
It all happened on a Friday, where she and her friends trashed my car. She started to recruit every girl that I played to get back at me.
They almost broke into my house, luckily the maid saw and called security. They would post videos and pictures of me with a troll face, causing people to laugh. I had to threaten them to make them shut up.
"So, is there a new girl who you're playing this time?" she sneered. I laughed. "Why do you care? At least she's not like a good for nothing, screeching donkey like you."
Alena gasped. I smirked and hurriedly order Emily's coffee. I order another for me.
Carrying the drinks, I passed by Alena. "Hope to not see you again."
