I didn't move, I didn't blink. I stood still and didn't even notice the bottle of Tylenol fall onto the ground.
It took me a while, but once I processed everything, I smirked and picked it up.
I turned around and laughed. I noticed Cassandra looking at me with a confused expression.
I shook my head. "Before marriage? You should've been more careful with whoever you were doing it with."
Her eyes widened and she glared. "It's yours! How dare you do this to your child?"
I almost laughed. "It's a shame a child will have a mother like you."
Cassandra screamed. "No! You will come back to me, Josh! I'm carrying your baby!"
"Since you really think that this child is yours, go take a pregnancy test and make a doctor's appointment to prove to me that you really are pregnant! If you are, good for you. But in no way is that child mine."
Her black mascara dripped down her face with tears.
I walked away from her, but didn't stop when I heard her say, "You will come back. I'll make sure of it."
Emily
Where is my medicine? My head is aching so much. Gigi is still asleep too. I rubbed my head and shut my eyes.
A minute later, someone knocked on the front door. I forced myself to get up and balanced myself to walk.
Opening it, I groaned. "It's about ti-" Something hit me on the head and I felt a wet liquid trickling down the side of my face. Next thing I know, all I saw was black.
I groaned in pain and tried to move. But I couldn't. My hands were chained. I focused my sight and suddenly noticed that I was in a dark cell. Only a tiny window allowed the sunlight to pass through.
My head was spinning and I felt like I was going to die. I was laying down on the cold hard ground.
I pushed myself up and that was when realized how cold it was. I was wearing the same clothes from earlier, but I was barefoot.
My hair was somehow all sticky and dried up. I touched it and gasped at what I felt. It was a dried red substance and it was all over the right side of my face.
Blood.
Why was I here? What happened to Josh? What about Gigi?
Just as my thoughts came into my mind, someone opened up the big wooden doors from across the room and a girl's scream filled the room making me flinch.
A man in all black clothing pushed a person who looked like a girl of my size.
He pushed her into the cell and she fell down next to me. She pulled herself up and I gasped.
"Gigi?"
Her eyes widened when she saw me. "Em! Thank God you're okay!" Her voice quivered.
She hugged me and cried. "I woke up and when I walked into the living room, I saw you getting carried out with blood all over your face! I quickly went to call 911 but they caught me. Someone injected me with something and I passed out."
I listened carefully to every word she had to say. "Gigi, did you see their faces?" I asked immediately.
She shook her head. "They were all wearing hoodies with masks. I'm sorry I was no help." Her voice cracked at the end.
I hugged her and let the tears fall down my face. "It's okay. We'll get out of here. Josh and Brandon will find us. I know they will."
Josh
I called Brandon when Gigi and Emily didn't open the door for me. I've been waiting outside the house for twenty minutes now.
"Dude!"
I turned around and Brandon ran towards me. I stood up and grabbed the bag with the Tylenol inside.
"They won't open it. I called them both, but they didn't answer. I went to grab some aspirin for Emily, but now this."
We walked to the door. "I'm starting to get worried," I said. Brandon touched the door and examined it. "It doesn't look like anyone broke in."
I dropped the bag. I kicked the door open with all my might, but it didn't even take any power to open it.
Once I kicked it, it did the rest. It opened and we both entered. I ran to check all the rooms, but they were all empty and left like before.
Gigi wasn't in bed anymore and both the girls' phones were still charging.
"Josh!"
I ran to the living room and Brandon was kneeling down next to the door. He was studying something on the ground.
Anger flowed through my veins when I saw drops of blood on the carpet.
